摘要： A handheld circular sawing device for severing armored cable includes a housing. A first plate is coupled to and extends coplanarly with a first side of the housing. A second plate is positioned substantially perpendicular to the first plate along a lower edge of the first plate. The second plate is hingedly coupled by a first end to the first plate proximate to a rear of the housing. A second end of the second plate is positioned proximate to a front of the housing to define a channel. A power module and a motor are coupled to the housing. The motor is operationally coupled to the power module. A blade that is coupled to a shaft of the motor protrudes into the channel. The motor is positioned to rotate the blade coincident with the shaft to longitudinally cut a section of a tubular substrate that is positioned in the channel.

摘要： According to typical inventive practice, a cable is grasped by a Kellum grip and is positioned through the topside “V”-notch of an “M”-structure. Two wires engage pulleys and a ratchet distanced from the pulleys. The pulleys are joined with a grip plate, attached at an axial end of the Kellum grip. The ratchet is joined with a ratchet plate, proximate and/or attached to the “M”-structure. The “M”-structure has joined therewith three blade wheels having cutting orientations in the same linear direction. The blade wheels are situated interiorly and perpendicularly in correspondence to the geometric sides of the inverted triangle defined by the “V”-notch. Each blade wheel is adjustable to suit the diameter of the cable positioned through the “V”-notch. Ratcheting of the wires moves the ratchet plate and hence the “M”-structure, resulting in creation via the blade wheels of three parallel slices in the cable along its axis.

摘要： A method for preparing a polymer insulated cable including a semiconductive layer surrounding a polymeric insulation layer includes: cutting the semiconductive layer by grinding a circumferential dividing groove in the semiconductive layer using a rotating grinding surface, wherein the dividing groove defines first and second semiconductive sections of the semiconductive layer on opposed sides of the dividing groove; and thereafter removing the second semiconductive section from the polymeric insulation layer while retaining the first semiconductive section on the polymeric insulation layer.

摘要： A cable stripper for removing covers or jackets of, for instance, a coaxial cable including circular blades rotatably installed on action levers which are pivoted together with an operating lever that is pivotally mounted to a stripper main body, and a lower blade linked to a lower cutter lever provided in the stripper main body. The circular blades bite into the cover of a cable inserted into the stripper main body when the operating lever is pivoted toward the stripper main body, thus making circumferential cuts of different depths in the cover by rotating the stripper main body about the axis of the cable; and in addition, when the lower cutter lever is pressed, the lower blade bites into the covering so that a straight cut in the axial direction of the cable is also made in the covering.
