摘要: An antenna assembly includes at least one conductive dipole arm and an adjacent conductive wall (“H-wall”), which enables efficient radiation from the conductive dipole arm without added losses. A single-ended antenna feed is configured to receive a single-ended signal. The antenna assembly further includes a ground plane and a conductive dipole arm in planar alignment with a surface of the ground plane. The conductive wall is electrically coupled with the ground plane and has an end adjacent to, and physically separate from, the conductive dipole arm, an axial length of the H-wall being orthogonal to the ground plane. The antenna assembly further includes a feedline electrically coupled with the conductive dipole arm and the single-ended antenna feed.

摘要: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry that includes first, second, and third antennas used to determine the position and orientation of the electronic device relative to external equipment. The antennas may include patch elements on respective substrates mounted to a flexible printed circuit. Each substrate may include fences of conductive vias that are coupled to ground and that laterally surround the corresponding patch element. Control circuitry may identify phase differences between the first and second antennas and between the second and third antennas and may identify an angle of arrival of received ultra-wideband signals using the phase differences. The control circuitry may compare the phase differences to a set of predetermined surfaces of phase differences to identify environmental loading conditions for the antenna. The control circuitry may correct the angle of arrival using offsets identified based on the environmental loading conditions.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a reader, such as a reader for a physical access control system. The reader can include first and second antennas, each designed or configured for receiving ultra-wide band (UWB) signals. The reader can also include a mounting plane configured for mounting the reader to a surface. An axis aligning the first and second antennas can be arranged substantially perpendicular relative the mounting plane. A material can be provided between the first and second antennas. The material can have a thickness that defines a distance between the first and second antennas of less than a half wavelength of the UWB signal through air (λA/2), the material configured to slow down electromagnetic waves passing therethrough such that the thickness of the material provides an effective separation distance of the first and second antennas of at least a half wavelength of the UWB signal through air (λA/2).

The absolute location associated with the mobile antenna is known and it sends and receives messages including at least one of time of arrival, time of departure, signal strength and angle of arrival. A measurement module performs distance measurement between the at least one mobile antenna and at least one tag in the environment to obtain at least. The distance measurements are associated with at least two locations of mobile antenna. A storage module records the distance measurements at the at least two locations and the at least two locations. A location module computes a location of each of the at least one tags based on the recorded distance measurements at the at least two locations and the recorded locations of the mobile antenna.

摘要: An ultra-wideband antenna device is disposed on a casing of an electronic device. The ultra-wideband antenna device includes radio frequency terminals, a first antenna module, a second antenna module, and a switch module. The radio frequency terminals, the first antenna module and the switch module are located in the casing. The first antenna module is located on a metal frame of the casing, and the first antenna module includes a first antenna. The second antenna module includes a second antenna, a third antenna, and a fourth antenna. The switch module is connected between the radio frequency terminals and the first antenna module. When the switch module turns on one of the radio frequency terminals and the first antenna for distance measurement, the switch module selectively turns on at least one of the second antenna, the third antenna, or the fourth antenna.
