    Abstract: An integrated electronic locking system and electronic locking device configured to enable electronic access control of an integrated electronic locking device via multiple electronic access modalities across multiple user types/roles. An object of the present disclosure is an integrated electronic locking system configured to enable a system administrator to configure different access control parameters for two or more different access control modalities/types across two or more different users and/or use cases.     Abstract: A system for operating a radio frequency identification (RFID) system includes a remotely operable access point at an authentication point. A first trigger sensor detects an RFID signal from an RFID device associated with a user at a first trigger distance from the authentication point. A controller responsive to a signal detected from the RFID device exchanges data with the RFID device and determines whether the RFID device is authorized. A second trigger sensor exchanges data with the RFID device at a second trigger distance closer to the authentication point than the first trigger distance. The controller is responsive to data received from the RFID device at the second trigger sensor to enable the controlled access barrier to grant access to the user at the access point after exchanging data with the RFID device at the second trigger sensor only if the user has been authenticated.

    Abstract: Provided is a system and method for creating a luggage manifest using a terminating b-type message, the method including: a) identifying, by at least one of at least one processor, a terminating baggage source message (BSM) associated with an arrival of a luggage item of a passenger, wherein the terminating BSM comprises an airport code associated with an airport and travel data of a first mode of travel carrier of the luggage item, and wherein the travel data comprises at least one of flight information, airline information, a name of the passenger, a passenger name record (PNR) number, and an International Air Transport Association (IATA) license plate number; b) matching, by at least one of the at least one processor, any of the travel data in the terminating BSM with travel data in a manifest for a second mode of travel different from the first mode of travel, wherein the second mode of travel is local to the airport code; c) based on matching any of the travel data in the terminating BSM with the travel data in the manifest for the second mode of travel, extracting, by at least one of the at least one processor, the IATA license plate number from the terminating BSM; and d) creating, by at least one of the at least one processor, a luggage item manifest record for the luggage item, wherein the luggage item manifest record comprises the IATA license plate number, and wherein the luggage item manifest record is accessible by predetermined electronic acquiring devices configured to scan an originating hardcopy bag tag identifier (OH-BTI) associated with or printed on an originating hardcopy bag tag from the first mode of travel carrier that is attached to the luggage item.

    Abstract: A method of providing automatic real-time notifications to at least one user by an electronic locking system includes detecting whether the user is leaving a storage space secured by the electronic lock. The method further includes determining whether a latch of the electronic lock is open upon detecting the user is leaving the storage space. The method includes monitoring a change in location of a device of the user with respect to the electronic lock and displaying a first alert notification on the device if the location of the device is at a threshold level of a communication range and the latch status is open. Subsequently, the method includes determining whether the location of the device is outside of a geofence range in presence or absence of any user response to the first alert notification and displaying a second alert notification if the latch status is still open.

    Abstract: A security tag for use in a retail environment comprises a main body housing circuitry, the circuitry comprising an oscillator module connected to a buzzer for producing an audible alarm and a switch, and an elongate lanyard extending from the main body and including a normally closed sense loop electrically connected to the circuitry. The switch comprises a transistor. The circuitry is configured such that if the lanyard is cut or otherwise damaged so as to create an open circuit in the sense loop the transistor switch triggers the oscillator module to emit the audible alarm.
