摘要: An antenna includes a receiver, a horn, a lens, and an anti-reflection layer. The horn has a first end disposed on the receiver and a second end defining an aperture positioned opposite the receiver. The lens is disposed within the aperture of the horn and has a first surface facing inward toward the receiver and a second surface opposite the first surface and facing outward away from the horn. The anti-reflection layer includes a dielectric material and is disposed on the first surface of the lens. Moreover, the anti-reflection layer defines holes arranged in a 50/50 material to void ratio and that have a thickness of a quarter wavelength of a signal received by the antenna.

Composed of individual wavelength compressing antennas, such arrays are of reduced size but avoid the mounting constraints and cost of containerized arrays. 摘要: A speed sensor which aligns a normal direction of one patch antenna which is disposed on a mounted board, and an optical axis of a dielectric lens uses a frame for inclining a sensor module, in order to obtain a component cos θ in a traveling direction when the speed sensor is installed on a horizontally vertical surface of an automobile or a railway car. When beams are condensed by using the one patch antenna and the cannonball-shaped dielectric lens, the dielectric lens is inclined and a bottom surface portion of the lens is cut with a plane parallel with a surface of the antenna-mounted board. The one patch antenna is configured by one patch and a GND electrode and the gain center of radiation characteristics is a normal direction of the antenna board. However, the radiation characteristics have a substantially hemisphere surface wave shape.

摘要: An antenna element suitable for integrated arrays at terahertz frequencies is disclosed. The antenna element comprises an extended spherical (e.g. hemispherical) semiconductor lens, e.g. silicon, antenna fed by a leaky wave waveguide feed. The extended spherical lens comprises a substantially spherical lens adjacent a substantially planar lens extension. A couple of TE/TM leaky wave modes are excited in a resonant cavity formed between a ground plane and the substantially planar lens extension by a waveguide block coupled to the ground plane. Due to these modes, the primary feed radiates inside the lens with a directive pattern that illuminates a small sector of the lens. The antenna structure is compatible with known semiconductor fabrication technology and enables production of large format imaging arrays.

摘要: A coil package which makes it easy to handle a high-frequency cone/pyramid-shaped coil and enhance frequency characteristics without degrading the characteristics of the coil. The cone/pyramid-shaped coil has a conical or pyramidal shape formed by wiring a conductor wire around an outer peripheral surface of a core such that the winding diameter of the coil progressively decreases from one end to the other end of the coil. The coil and a dielectric substrate are integrated with each other by forming a hole for inserting a tip portion of the coil in the dielectric substrate, making the bottom of the hole and a back surface of the dielectric substrate electrically continuous by a via, placing the coil in the hole by directing a small-diameter side of the cone/pyramid-shaped coil to the hole, electrically connecting the bottom of the hole and a tip-side lead wire extending from the coil to each other, and connecting an electrode on a large-diameter side of the coil to an electrode on the dielectric substrate.

摘要: A mono-conical antenna serving as a dielectric-loaded antenna includes: (i) a electricity supply electrode, which has a conical surface; (ii) an earth electrode, which has a flat surface that is so positioned as to face an apex of the conical surface; and (iii) a dielectric member, which is provided between the conical surface and the flat surface. The dielectric member has an outer circumferential surface which has such a slope that extends from a side of the conical surface to a side of the flat surface. This allows the dielectric-loaded antenna to have a small size, and to handle a wider frequency band in which the maximum value of the VSWR is restrained to be small.
