摘要: A phosphor layer of a plasma display panel has a green phosphor layer containing Zn2SiO4:Mn particles and (Y1-x, Gdx)3(Al1-y, Gay)5O12:Ce particles. The Zn2SiO4:Mn particles satisfy requirements of Zn3p/Si2p≧2.10 (1), and Zn2p/Si2p≧1.25 (2) wherein Zn3p represents an emission amount of photoelectrons emitted from a 3p orbit of a Zn element in a region up to 10 nm from surfaces of the particles, Zn2p represents an emission amount of photoelectrons emitted from a 2p orbit of the Zn element in a region up to 3 nm from the surfaces of the particles, and Si2p represents an emission amount of photoelectrons emitted from a 2p orbit of a Si element in the region up to 10 nm from the surfaces of the particles.

摘要: It is a method for manufacturing a plasma display panel having a discharge space, and a protective layer opposed to the discharge space. A gas containing a reducing organic gas is introduced into the discharge space, and the protective layer is exposed to the reducing organic gas. Then, the reducing organic gas is emitted from the discharge space. Then, a discharge gas is enclosed in the discharge space. The protective layer contains at least a first metal oxide and a second metal oxide. Furthermore, the protective layer has at least one peak in an X-ray diffraction analysis. The peak exists between a first peak of the first metal oxide in the X-ray diffraction analysis, and a second peak of the second metal oxide in the X-ray analysis. The first peak and the second peak show the same surface orientation as a surface orientation shown by the peak.

摘要: A plasma display panel has a sealed part where peripheral portions of a front plate and a rear plate are sealed to each other with a sealing member. The sealed part includes bead which regulates any gap formed between the peripheral portions of the front plate and the rear plate. A dielectric layer is formed as far as location of the bead but an insulator layer is formed short of the location of the bead in the sealed part on the side of a direction where display electrodes extend. The insulator layer is formed as far as the location of the bead but the dielectric layer is formed short of the location of the bead in the sealed part on the side of a direction where data electrodes extend. The bead has a diameter larger than a thickness of the dielectric layer and a height of barrier ribs summed with each other and at most twice as large as the thickness of the dielectric layer and the height of the barrier ribs summed with each other.

摘要: By introducing a gas containing a reducing organic gas into the discharge space, the protective layer is exposed to the reducing organic gas. Then, the reducing organic gas is exhausted from the discharge space. Then, a discharge gas is enclosed to the discharge space. The protective layer includes a base film made of magnesium oxide, and a plurality of metal oxide particles dispersed over the base film. The metal oxide particle includes at least a first metal oxide and a second metal oxide. Moreover, the metal oxide particle has at least one peak in an X-ray diffraction analysis. The peak is located between a first peak in the X-ray diffraction analysis of the first metal oxide and a second peak in the X-ray diffraction analysis of the second metal oxide. The first peak and the second peal have the same plane orientation as the plane orientation indicated by the peak.

摘要: A plasma display device includes a plasma display panel and a controller for receiving a digital image signal corresponding to an image to be displayed during a frame. The controller time divides a frame into a plurality of subfields, generates control signals for driving the respective subfields at an initialization period, an address period, and a sustain discharging period, and generates switching signals corresponding to the respective subfields. The plasma display device also includes a driver for generating different levels of voltages in accordance with the switching signals, and for providing display data with the generated voltages in accordance with the control signals to the plasma display panel. The plasma display device may also generate switching signals corresponding to the temperature sensed by a temperature sensor.
