    摘要： A circuit breaker comprises an adjustable trip unit having electronic circuitry for initiating a tripping command upon detection of overcurrent conditions. The trip unit includes an externally accessible interchangeable plug-in rating adjuster removably supported on the housing of the circuit breaker by a threaded rod and tube. An interlock mechanism cooperates with the trip bar of the circuit breaker and secured mechanism to insure that only when a compatible rating adjuster is properly seated in the housing and the threaded rod is completely engaged within the threaded tube will the circuit breaker mechanism be removed from the trip-free condition. Coordination of a proper rating adjuster with a corresponding trip unit and circuit breaker is achieved by coordinating the lengths of the rod and tube and the position of the threaded portions thereof such that only a rating adjuster which is electrically compatible with a particular circuit breaker and trip unit will properly engage the threads of the tube to remove the circuit breaker from the trip-free condition.

The trip cam includes: a mounting portion structured to be disposed in the housing, the mounting portion including a first region, a second region disposed generally opposite the first region, and a third region disposed generally between the first region and the second region; a transfer leg extending from the first region and being structured to cooperate with each of the number of poles; a driving leg extending from the third region and being structured to be driven by the cradle member; and an operating handle protrusion extending from the second region and being structured to engage the operating handle.

    摘要： A mode switching or conversion device for selectively altering the operating mode of an electrical switch or other piece of equipment comprises an actuator or locking member rotatable about an axis of rotation which is disposed substantially perpendicular to the housing wall of the electrical switch. The actuator is positionally retained in an opening of this housing wall by means of a bayonet catch or joint. This actuator or locking member is provided with an axially elastic spring or resilient bracket provided with latching cams or lugs which can latch in different positions thereof into latching recesses or pockets of a latching base member of the housing.

The modular assembly includes a tripping plunger including a cam surface adapted to interact with a breaker tripping mechanism; an armature coupled to the tripping plunger; a yoke adapted to generate a magnetic field in response to an electric current in the load conductor assembly and disposed to apply a magnetic force proportionate to the electric current on the armature; and a spring assembly adapted to counter-balance the magnetic force up to a predefined tripping current in the load conductor assembly.
