    摘要: A multi-layered capacitor includes three or more capacitor layers. A first layer includes a first DC-biased, tunable capacitor. A second layer, acoustically coupled to the first layer, includes a second DC-biased, tunable capacitor. A third layer, acoustically coupled to the second layer, includes a third DC-biased, tunable capacitor. Each dielectric of the first, second, and third capacitors has a resonance of about the same frequency, within 5%, and inner electrodes of the first, second, and third capacitors have a resonance of about the same frequency, within 5%. The resonance of each layer is a function of at least thickness, density, and material. The first, second, and third layers are biased to generate destructive acoustic interference, and the multi-layer capacitor is operable at frequencies greater than 0.1 GHz.

    摘要: A multi-layered capacitor includes three or more capacitor layers. A first layer includes a first DC-biased, tunable capacitor.     摘要: Electromechanical power converters for delivering electric power to a primary load are described. In one aspect, an electromechanical power converter includes first and second electrodes, an electret, and a power extraction circuit. The first and second electrodes form a variable capacitor with a capacitance that varies over an operative capacitance range as a result of relative electrode movement in response to mechanical energy. The electret is disposed between the first and second electrodes. The power extraction circuit is coupled between the first and second electrodes and is operable to conduct charge between the electrodes through the primary load during a discharge phase and to set the electrodes to an inter-electrode reset voltage during a reset phase.

    摘要: A multi-layer electret that can endure a high temperature so as to be processed by surface mount technology (SMT) and has ultra-high charge stability and a method of manufacturing thereof are provided. The multi-layer electret is constructed in such a manner that an FET film of 12.5 nullmnull25 nullm in thickness melting-adheres to a surface of a metal plate, and a PTFE film of 30 nullmnull100 nullm in thickness melting-adheres to the surface of the FEP film. A method of manufacturing the multi-layer electret having ultra-high charge stability comprises a first step of laminating an FEP film on a metal plate; a second step of heating the metal plate on which the FEP film was laminated at a high temperature and applying high pressure thereto, whereby the FEP film and the metal plate melting-adhere to each other; a third step of laminating a PTFE film on the FEP film attached to the metal plate; a fourth step of heating the laminated structure and applying high pressure thereto, whereby the PTFE film melting-adheres to the FEP film; a fifth step of cooling the resulting structure, to accomplish an electret; and a sixth step of charging the cooled electret with charges.
