    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are presented which provide for a musical instrument direct box combined with a musical instrument tuner which may be phantom powered by an external audio system, according to some embodiments. In some embodiments, an apparatus is presented. The apparatus may include a direct box (DI) module, and a musical instrument tuner module coupled to the DI module. The musical instrument tuner module may be phantom powered based on a connection to a remote system geographically distinct from the apparatus. In some example embodiments, the apparatus may also include a tuning transformer coupled to the musical instrument tuner module and the DI module, the tuning transformer configured to galvanically isolate a ground domain of a musical instrument signal from a ground domain of the remote system while the musical instrument tuner module measures a pitch of the musical instrument signal.

    Abstract: A device for visually indicating the ambient noise level is provided. The device includes an elongated cylinder having a plurality of sections. The plurality of sections are in a stacked configuration and includes a lower section, a middle section, and an upper section. A plurality of lights are disposed in each section of the elongated cylinder. The plurality of sections are configured to illuminate at each section of the elongated cylinder corresponding to a predetermined noise level. A control box is in electrical communication with the lights disposed in the elongated cylinder. The control box includes a microphone, a power source and a control circuit. The elongated cylinder provides a visual indication of the sound level via the illuminated sections which correspond to the noise level detected by the microphone.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating color sets based on musical concepts of pitch intervals and harmony. Color sets are derived via a music-to-hue process which analyzes musical pitch data associated with musical input to determine pitch intervals included in the music. Pitch interval angles associated with the pitch intervals are applied to a tuned hue index to identify hue note ordered within the index which are separated by a hue interval angle similar to the pitch angle associated with the analyzed pitch data. The systems and methods provide for the creation of color sets which are analogous to musical chords in that they include multiple hue notes selected based on hue interval angles derived from musical interval angles associated with the received musical input.

    Abstract: A musical sound generator is provided including a tube defining a resonant cavity, the tube having a plurality of sound producing chimes configured to produce an audible sound when at least one object impacts on at least one of the chimes; a reservoir configured to hold a number of objects; and a transfer mechanism configured to transfer the objects from the reservoir to an elevated position within the resonant cavity, wherein the objects fall down from the elevated position within the resonant cavity by gravity after being transferred by the transfer mechanism, to strike the plurality of sound producing chimes; and wherein the position of the reservoir is configured to be moved depending on the level of the objects held in the reservoir.
