摘要： An arrangement with an actuator has a transmitting device for transmitting control telegrams with a control command for the actuator. At least two receiving devices receive the control telegrams and generate a control signal for the actuator. A decision device between the receiving devices and the actuator allows the actuator to implement the control signals with a release signal if the control signal is present from all or a minimum number of receiving devices. The transmission device transmits the control command to each receiving device with a receiver-specific control telegram that is provided with a respective control instruction that indicates the continuous telegram number of the respective transmitted control telegram in encrypted or non-encrypted form. The receiving devices accept a control telegram as valid if the control instruction indicates a telegram number that is expected by the receiver. The control signal is generated if the control telegram is valid.

摘要： A multivariate environmental sensing system with redundant transmission pathways with a network of nodes detecting environmental conditions and processing a transmissible signal. Nodes use predetermined criteria to make periodic detections, maintaining a low power state between detections. Power is conserved by deciding whether detections are transmitted immediately, or may be stored for periodic transmission. The nodes power up and immediately transmit urgent detections, storing routine detections for delayed batch transmission. Nodes may transmit signals received from other nodes, passing along signals received from more distant nodes. Transmission may have a predetermined pattern, but the system alters this pattern if there is disruption to the system or pattern. Gateways process data from nodes and pass data to other gateways, on an immediate or deferred basis, to a control center, where data is analyzed. Control centers transmit programming instruction to the gateways and nodes in a retrograde fashion along the transmission pathways.

The system includes a mobile operator unit that is operable to transmit signals; and a base unit of a safety-critical device that is operable to receive signals from the mobile operator unit. Only the safety-relevant control signals are checked for error-free transmission. The non-critical communication signals are transmitted without error safety checking.

摘要： A detachable remote controller for an electronic entertainment device and a method for using the same are provided. The detachable remote controller includes a first infrared transmitter and a second infrared transmitter. The first infrared transmitter transmits signals to the electronic device while the detachable remote controller is coupled with the entertainment device. The remote controller is shaped in such a way to be docked within a cavity and flush with one surface of the entertainment device. The first infrared transmitter is aligned in the cavity such that the first infrared transmitter transmits signals to a light pipe embedded within the entertainment device. The second infrared transmitter is located at one end of the detachable remote controller to transmit signals to the entertainment device while the detachable remote controller is not coupled with the entertainment device.
