摘要: An example system includes a stand configured to position a computing device proximate to a physical activity surface. The system further includes a video capture device, a detector, and an activity application. The video capture device is coupled for communication with the computing device and is adapted to capture a video stream that includes an activity scene of the physical activity surface and one or more interface objects physically interactable with by a user. The detector is executable to detect motion in the activity scene based on the processing and, responsive to detecting the motion, process the video stream to detect one or more interface objects included in the activity scene of the physical activity surface. The activity application is executable to present virtual information on a display of the computing device based on the one or more detected interface objects.

The system and method can include a plurality of CCPs arranged in a CCP array, coupled together in any suitable manner; receiving, at a current confining pixel (CCP), an input signal; generating a differential output signal based on the input signal; and, analyzing an output of a CCP.

摘要: An image system for detecting defects in an image may include a processing device to detect defects in a target image by analyzing the activity level in a reference and the target image. The system may identify a quiet area/pixel in the reference image based on the activity level, check the activity level of the corresponding pixel in the target image, and classify the pixel in the target image as defective if the activity level of the pixel in the target image exceeds a noise threshold. The system may additionally swap the reference and target image, repeat the detection steps and combine the detection results with those before the swap. The system may also include an image sensor to scan a printed document of the reference image into a scanned electronic document (the target image).

摘要: A system for detecting defects in a print system may include a print engine to print an electronic document (a reference image) and yield a printed document. The system may also include an image sensor to scan the printed document into a scanned electronic document (a target image). The system may include a processing device to detect defects in the printed document by analyzing the activity level in the reference and target image. The system may identify a quiet area/pixel in the reference image based on the activity level, check the activity level of the corresponding pixel in the target image, and classify the pixel in the target image as defective if the activity level of the pixel in the target image exceeds a noise threshold. The system may additionally swap the reference and target image, repeat the detection steps and combine the detection results with those before the swap.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for electronic authentication. A modified electronic image is generated by altering at least a pixel of an electronic image. The electronic image is an image that has been previously viewed by a user during a setup process. In response to receiving an authentication request from the user, the modified electronic image is displayed to the user via an electronic display along with one or more other electronic images. A determination is made as to whether the user is able to recognize the modified electronic image. In response to determination that the user is able to recognize the modified electronic image, the authenticating request is granted.

摘要: Asymmetries are detected in one or more images by partitioning each image to create a set of patches. Salient patches are identified, and an independent displacement for each patch is identified. The techniques used to identify the salient patches and the displacement for each patch are combined in a function to generate a score for each patch. The scores can be used to identify possible asymmetries.

摘要: A new image-based representation and an associated reference image is disclosed called the emotion avatar image (EAI), and the avatar reference, respectively, which leverages the out-of-plane head rotation. The method is not only robust to outliers but also provides a method to aggregate dynamic information from expressions with various lengths. The approach to facial expression analysis can consist of the following steps: 1) face detection; 2) face registration of video frames with the avatar reference to form the EAI representation; 3) computation of features from EAI using both local binary patterns and local phase quantization; and 4) the classification of the feature as one of the emotion type by using a linear support vector machine classifier.

摘要: A phase estimation method estimates the phase of signal components using a point spread function. The method obtains a point spread function that expresses complex frequencies at a non integer location in terms of integral frequencies, for a complex frequency of a signal at a non integer location in a complex frequency domain. It obtains complex frequencies of the signal for the integral frequencies, and computes a sum of products of the complex frequencies of the signal at the integral frequencies with the corresponding complex values of the point spread function to provide an estimate of phase of the signal at the non integer location.
