摘要: A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.

摘要: A flow control arrangement is provided including a housing seating inlet and outlet conduits is provided. An isolation valve is arranged within the housing and is fluidly coupled to the inlet conduit. A first flow switch with a first shutoff trigger is arranged within the housing and fluidly couples the isolation valve to the outlet conduit. A second flow switch with a second shutoff trigger is arranged outside of the housing and is fluidly separated from the first flow switch. A controller operably connects the first and second flow switches to the isolation valve to close the isolation valve when (a) flow rate of a first fluid traversing the first flow switch is greater than the first shutoff trigger, or (b) flow rate of a second fluid traversing the second flow switch is less than the second shutoff trigger. Semiconductor processing systems and flow control methods are also described.

摘要: Provided is a flow rate controller. The flow rate controller calculates a resistor flow rate that is a flow rate of a fluid flowing through a fluid resistor, on the basis of a first measured pressure measured by a first pressure sensor and a second measured pressure measured by a second pressure sensor; controls a second valve on the basis of a deviation of the resistor flow rate from the set flow rate; outputs a first set pressure that is a target of a pressure upstream of the fluid resistor, on the basis of the set flow rate and a second set pressure which is a target of a pressure downstream of the fluid resistor and to which a constant value is set; and controls the first valve on the basis of a deviation of the first measured pressure from the first set pressure.

The fill stations may be opened and closed to accept a reservoir and to allow fluid to be introduced into the reservoir for use with personal pump systems. The fill stations may hold the reservoir at a tilt relative to an underlying surface and may discourage overfilling of the reservoir. The filling stations may also include viewing windows having fluid lines marked thereon for indicating volume of fluid within the reservoir.

摘要: A repeater system may control a pump by using a repeater and a user interface. An adhesive patch system may be used for affixing a pump or other object to a human body. Such an adhesive patch system may include two sets of adhesive members, each member including an adhesive material on at least one side so as to attach to the body. The members of the first set are spaced to allow the members of the second set to attach to the body in spaces provided between the members of the first set, and the members of the second set are spaced to allow members of the first set to detach from the body without detaching the members of the second set. Also, fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems.

摘要: An intelligent self-balancing downstream device that can obtain accurate flow measurements (e.g., flow of a liquid or gas through a tube) that can perform the self-balancing in situ and during operation to satisfy a set point and without k factors or the use of TAB balancers. The downstream device may be controllable by a single software system or network. The downstream device can operate in a single zone or be coupled with multiple like apparatuses. It has a high turndown ratio and self-balances, which can allow for continuous commissioning with built-in fault diagnostic systems. A fluid metering device can include control systems that operate progressively based on unique actuation mechanisms and/or algorithms that allow for precise flow control and feedback to self-balance and commission the system.

摘要: A mass flow control apparatus comprising a proportional valve upstream of a flow measurement portion, a pressure sensing element fluidly connected to determine a fluid pressure downstream of the flow measurement portion, and a dynamically adjustable variable valve downstream of the flow measurement portion and adjacent to the pressure sensing element connection. Fluid conductance of the variable valve is adjusted according to a control scheme based upon limitations of the flow measurement portion. Integral flow verification may be enabled with additional fluid pathway elements upstream of the flow measurement portion.

摘要: A mass flow control system can be self verified for its accuracy when controlling a flow to a process. The system comprises: a control valve for controlling the flow of fluid through the system as a function of a control signal; a controller for generating the control signal as a function of measured flow of fluid through the system and a targeted flow set point; a pressure sensor for measuring the controlling fluid pressure for use in measuring and verifying the flow rate; and a source of fluid for providing a known volume of fluid for use in verifying the system accuracy anytime between steps of the flow control process.

摘要: A system for use in filling one or more reservoirs. The system includes a fill station including a fill station base, a fill station cover hingably attached to the fill station base, and a filling aperture attached to the fill station cover, wherein the fill station may be opened to accommodate the one or more reservoirs. The system also includes a vial having an interior volume for containing a fluidic medium, the vial configured to removably attach to the filling aperture, and a plunger located within the vial, the plunger advancable within the vial to reduce the interior volume.
