Abstract: To cause multiple field devices to operate together in coordination in accordance with a predetermined program through a network allowing periodic communication, a control device includes an estimator that calculates, based on a position of a first field device in a first cycle, a position of the first field device operable in accordance with a first program in a second cycle following the first cycle, and a processor that determines, based on the first program, a first command value to cause the first field device to operate, transmits the first command value to the first field device through an interface allowing communication with the field devices, determines, based on the estimated position and a second program, a second command value to cause a second field device to operate in coordination with the first field device, and transmits the second command value to the second field device through the interface.

Abstract: A system for managing communication between building management system (BMS) devices includes a memory and a controller. The memory includes instructions stored thereon. The controller is configured to execute the instructions to implement an agent manager, a zone manager, and a channel manager. The agent manager is configured to generate an agent for each of the BMS devices. The zone manager is configured to define at least one zone relating to a physical location zone or a building control zone. The channel manager is configured to generate a communication channel associated with the at least one zone. The channel manager is further configured to manage registration of an agent to the communication channel, wherein an agent is configured to communicate over a communication channel in response to being registered to the communication channel.

Abstract: A communication method between a master and a device, the master transmits in a subcycle a received condition message (RCM) for an immediately prior subcycle, wherein the RCM is an ACK when a transmission from the device in the preceding subcycle was correctly received and the RCM is a NACK when a transmission from the device in the preceding subcycle was not correctly received, comprising: including in each transmitted condition message a current priority data acknowledgement flag (CPDAF), the CPDAF being transmitted set in each condition message for each subcycle of an offset cycle after the master correctly received in a current cycle a priority data message, the offset cycle being defined as the second and subsequent subcycles of a current cycle and the first subcycle of a next cycle, the CPDAF being transmitted as cleared otherwise.

Abstract: Provided is a control device capable of reducing power consumption in a control system. The control device includes a master control unit and at least one slave control unit that is connected to the master control unit via a communication line. The master control unit includes a circuit for, upon completion of data transmission from the slave control unit via an uplink, transmitting an instruction for deactivating the uplink to the slave control unit via a downlink, as well as a circuit for, in order to obtain data from the slave control unit, transmitting an instruction for activating the uplink to the slave control unit via the downlink. The slave control unit includes a circuit for keeping the downlink active, and for activating/deactivating the uplink in accordance with an instruction from the master control unit transmitted via the downlink.

Abstract: A system for storing data in an industrial production environment includes a distributed database stored on a plurality of intelligent programmable logic controller devices. Each respective intelligent programmable logic controller device includes a volatile computer-readable storage medium comprising a process image area; a non-volatile computer-readable storage medium; a control application; an input/output component; a historian component; and a distributed data management component.
