Abstract: A head-mounted device includes a first device portion and a second device portion. A first coupler portion of the first device portion is connectable to a second coupler portion of the second device portion to define a connected position in which the first device portion is connected to the second device portion and a disconnected position in which the first device portion is disconnected from the second device portion. A second adjuster portion of the second device portion causes a first adjuster portion of the first device portion to move a first optical module and a second optical module in response to movement of the first device portion and the second device portion from the disconnected position to the connected position.

Abstract: According to an example embodiment, a stereoscopic near-eye display (NED) assembly for a NED device including a pair of NED assemblies is provided, where an input image is subjected to a preprocessing procedure that applies image-area-position dependent preprocessing before providing it for viewing through a lens assembly that comprises a diffractive optical element (DOE) arranged to provide a phase delay that is different through a plurality of positions of its aperture. According to other example embodiments, an apparatus and a method for deriving the preprocessing procedure and the DOE are provided.

The system is configured to determine a computer-generated view of the sample from the viewing angle of the observer based on the three-dimensional representation of the sample. The system is configured to generate a display signal for a display device, the display signal comprising the computer-generated view of the sample.

Abstract: An example of an image display system includes a goggles apparatus and is capable of setting an angle of view of a virtual camera disposed in a virtual space to a first angle of view or a second angle of view smaller than the first angle of view. If the angle of view of the virtual camera is set to the first angle of view, the image display system sets a parallax between an image for a left eye and an image for a right eye to a first parallax. If the angle of view of the virtual camera is set to the second angle of view, the image display system sets the parallax between the image for a left eye and the image for a right eye to a second parallax smaller than the first parallax.
