The cell (10) further comprises a stress layer (17) on the membrane (14), the stress layer (17) having a predetermined stress value with respect to the membrane (14), the stress layer (17) being adapted to provide a bending moment on the membrane (14) in a direction towards the substrate (12) such that the edge portion (14a) of the membrane (14) is collapsed to the substrate (12). The present invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such pre-collapsed capacitive micro-machined transducer cell (10).

The method comprises generating a laser beam, dividing the laser beam into a reference beam and an object beam to be directed onto the surface, thereby producing a scattered object beam, introducing a small-amplitude modulation in the optical path difference between the reference beam and the scattered object beam, detecting the interference between the scattered object beam and the phase modulated reference beam using a plurality of detecting elements to generate a plurality of electrical interference signals, wherein the electrical interference signals each comprise a wanted signal component indicative of the surface motion and a noise signal component, and processing the electrical interference signals to determine the surface motion of the object.

A signal envelope function computed from the backscattered ultrasound signals is used to derive a number of different parameters, which comprise a unimodal decay factor, a bimodal decay factor, a quiescence time, an event frequency parameter, and an event asymmetry index. Two or more of these factors are combined using a decision algorithm, which can be a neural network, a fuzzy logic classifier, a Bayesian classifier, a regression, an instance-based classifier, a decision tree, or a learned rule. These methods can also be applied to determine characteristics of the physiology of a live organism.

    摘要: A portable route-based machine data collector stores audio files to supplement associated machine performance data, such as vibration data. The audio files, which may include voice comments, audio segments of raw vibration data, or frequency-shifted components of the vibration data, are stored in the data collector as standard-format digital audio files and are later downloaded to a computer for further analysis. Test personnel can then replay the audio files for data analysis personnel to get second opinions regarding whether machine faults may be indicated by the recorded sounds. Also, audio files associated with normal and abnormal machine operation may be saved on the portable data collector and used as baselines or for training purposes. Verbal operating instructions may also be stored as audio files on the portable data collector for replay by test operators in the field. In a case where the portable data collector is an ultrasonic monitoring unit, frequency-shifted (audible) ultrasonic data may be stored in an audio file in association with non-shifted ultrasonic data.
