摘要: A bearing lubrication system includes an ultrasonic signal detector affixed in proximity or in contact with a set of bearings and a control unit. The control unit including (a) a lubrication dispenser fixed to a structure connected with the set of bearings and having an output for dispensing lubricant to the set of bearings through a controllable valve; and (b) a transceiver affixed in proximity to the set of bearings, said transceiver transmitting the ultrasonic signal to a location remote from the set of bearings. A hub computer is at the remote location that receives the ultrasonic signal from the transceiver. When the hub computer determines that the ultrasonic signal is above a local predetermined threshold the hub computer generates a local valve open/close signal and sends it back to the transceiver of the control unit. When the local valve open/close signal is received at the transceiver it causes the valve to open and allow lubricant to reach the bearings and closes the valve when the ultrasonic signal drops below the threshold.

摘要: A system and methods according to which a controller communicates control signals to a first frac leg, which includes a wellhead operably associated with a first wellbore, a valve operably coupled to the wellhead, opposite the first wellbore, a frac line operably coupled to the wellhead, and a zipper module operably coupled to the frac line, opposite the wellhead. The first frac leg includes a first sub-controller that receives control signals from the controller. A grease system lubricates the first frac leg and the zipper module. The grease system includes a second sub-controller that receives control signals from the controller. A second frac leg is operably associated with a second wellbore. The second frac leg includes a third sub-controller that receives control signals from the controller. The first, second, and/or third sub-controllers may receive control signals from the controller via a communication bus.

摘要: A lubrication system for pneumatic machinery includes a lubricant vessel and a lubricant-control valve connected to a drop-dispensing body to discharge a demanded drop of lubricant inside a sealable drip chamber, which has a pressurized-gas inlet and a lubricated-gas outlet. A lubricator-pad assembly includes a lubricator-pad holder securing a lubricator pad to receive the drop of lubricant. Pressurized gas flows through the holder when exiting the drip chamber. A drop detector detects the demanded drop of lubricant. A controller connects to the drop detector and receives an indication that the demanded drop of lubricant has been detected. When a lubrication-demand tracker of the controller determines, based upon time or flow measurement or a combination thereof, that a lubrication threshold is reached, the controller initiates a drop cycle. If a maximum drop time passes before the demanded drop of lubricant is detected, the controller activates a missing-drop cycle.

摘要: A lubricating system has a pump to force a viscous lubricant from a supply of lubricant to a lubricator at which the lubricant is to be dispensed onto a cable, wire, or the like that is being pulled through a conduit. A sensor, associated with a spool from which the cable is being dispensed, is be used to automatically control the amount of lubricant that is to be dispensed onto the cable. A second described system comprises a custom bucket or bucket insert which allow a cable to pass through the bucket whereupon lubricant will be automatically applied to the cable and the container includes a profiled base to ensure proper passage of the cable through the lubricant and ensure the maximum usage of any lubricant.
