    摘要： A tool for unseizing and/or lubricating a valve having a protruding valve stem on an exterior periphery. The tool possesses a hollow tubular member, having at one end thereof an open, hollow, cylindrical flexible member adapted to be placed over and contain therewithin a portion of the valve stem. A circumferential tightening member, encircling one end of the flexible member, is provided, to permit the flexible member to sealingly engage the valve stem about the outer periphery thereof when the flexible member is placed over the valve stem. The tool further possesses a fluid inlet port, situated along a length of the tubular member, in fluid communication with an interior of the tubular member, and a pressurized fluid inlet port likewise in fluid communication with the interior of the tool.

    摘要： The device for connecting and supporting a water-meter (1) comprises a water-inlet pipe (2) and a water-outlet pipe (3) secured in a support (8). The support comprises a stationary seat (9) in which are mounted the water-inlet pipe (2) and the water-outlet pipe (3). The seat carries a plate (10) comprising two conduits (11, 12) designed to be connected to inlet (4) and outlet (5)-apertures on the meter (1). The plate (10) is mounted to rotate upon seat (9) about an axis (X-X') for the purpose of opening up or shutting off the flow of water, or for testing the meter.

    摘要： A valve comprising a housing with an inlet and outlet and a chamber in between, a reciprocating gate mounted in a gate seat disposed within the chamber for opening and closing the valve, an upper bonnet for closing the chamber at one end and a lower bonnet for closing the chamber at the other end, the gate being disposed between upper and lower stems which extend into the upper and lower bonnets respectively. Metal-to-metal seals are provided at all junctures between the above members in the lower gate position with back-up seals at the junctures of all moving members.A double edged seal ring integral with the upper stem self-contained within the upper bonnet provides a metal-to-metal seal with the upper bonnet in the upper and lower gate positions of the valve.A metal gasket arrangement is provided between the upper bonnet and valve body whereby the assemblage of all points of contact between the gasket and body form an annular ring.A combination seal ring of metal and plastic is disposed between the gate seat and valve body at the outlet whereby the metal prevents the plastic from extruding between the seat and body and into the outlet.A removable backseat may be used to simultaneously seal the upper bonnet and upper stem upon moving the valve to one of its positions.

    摘要： A valve assembly of the type wherein a valve stem operatively connected to a valve closure element is longitudinally moved between open and closed valve positions comprises a longitudinally movable nonrotatable valve stem in threaded engagement with an axially fixed bushing rotatably mounted on said body so that rotation of the bushing in opposite directions effects opposite longitudinal movements of said valve stem. A reservoir of lubricant under pressure is disposed within the stem with passage means extending between said reservoir and an engagement surface zone of the threads. A transverse cylinder on the stem responsive to longitudinal movement of said valve stem in either direction is actuated for automatically feeding lubricant along the passage means from said reservoir toward said zone.
