Abstract: A system and method configured to select a control configuration for a hydraulic fluid system. The system includes a controller having at least one sensor and a processor. The controller is configured to sense a feed pressure and a return pressure of a fluid within the hydraulic fluid system and a speed of a driven set of wheels and a speed of an idle set of wheels. The driven set of wheels are drivingly coupled to an engine, and the idle set of wheels are drivingly coupled to the hydraulic fluid system. The controller is further configured to select a control configuration for the hydraulic fluid system based on a ratio between the feed pressure and the return pressure, and further based on a ratio between the speed of the driven set of wheels and the speed of the idle set of wheels.

Abstract: A transmission device with secondarily coupled power splitting, having hydrostatic and mechanical branches which can be summed by a summing gear system provided in the area of a central transmission shaft. On the transmission input side, the central transmission shaft can directly couple a drive engine and functionally connect to both an auxiliary drive output shaft and a hydrostatic shaft of the variator, in the form of countershafts, and also to hydraulic pumps in the area of the transmission input. Abstract: A road milling machine includes a machine frame, at least three travelling devices, a milling drum, and at least one hydraulic drive system. The hydraulic drive system includes at least one hydraulic pump, at least one hydraulic fixed displacement motor for driving at least one driven travelling device, and one each hydraulic variable displacement motor for driving the remaining travelling devices. A first gearbox is arranged between the fixed displacement hydraulic motor and its associated travelling device. Abstract: A method of drivingly engaging a first motor of a dual motor drive unit with an output shaft driven by a second motor of the dual motor drive unit includes actuating a clutching device for drivingly engaging the first motor with the output shaft. Next, a rotational speed of the first motor is synchronized with a rotational speed of the output shaft. When the rotational speed of the first motor and the rotational speed of the output shaft are synchronized, an output torque of the first motor is reduced. When the clutching device drivingly engages the first motor with the output shaft, the output torque of the first motor is increased. The invention further relates to a dual motor drive unit for carrying out the method.
