    摘要: A hydraulic circuit includes a clutch actuator operatively associated with a clutch that may be disposed in a transmission. A hydraulic fluid source supplies pressurized hydraulic fluid for the clutch actuator. To measure the filling rate of the hydraulic actuator, a reference actuator having a predetermined filling rate is disposed in parallel with the hydraulic actuator and in fluid communication with the hydraulic fluid source. If hydraulic pressure associated with the reference actuator does not correspond to the hydraulic pressure associated with the clutch actuator, a compensation valve can appropriately respond by selectively directing hydraulic fluid to or from the clutch actuator. In a further embodiment, the reference actuator and compensation valve may be replaced with an electrohydraulic valve utilizing feedback from the hydraulic pressure present at the inlet of the clutch actuator.

    摘要: An automatic transmission shift control device include a controller that is programmed to shift an automatic transmission by issuing a command for switching an interference shift element from an engaged state to a disengaged state, and by issuing a command for switching a friction shift element from a released state to a locked state. The controller includes a progressive friction-shift-element switchover section which causes progressive switching of the friction shift element from the released state to the locked state prior to the command for switching of the interference shift element from the engaged state to the disengaged state. The controller includes an interference-shift-element switchover section which causes the switching of the interference shift element from the engaged state to the disengaged state when transmission torque of the interference shift element decreases to a predetermined value as the friction shift element progressively switches from the released state to the locked state.

    摘要: A powertrain includes an engine, a transmission, a pump for providing pressurized hydraulic fluid and a launch clutch connected between the engine and the transmission for coupling the engine to the transmission when the launch clutch is in an engaged condition and for decoupling the engine from the transmission when the launch clutch is in a disengaged condition. A device is rotationally coupled to the engine and to the pump. The device is translatable along an axis between a first position and a second position. The device moves the launch clutch to the engaged condition when in the first position and does not move the launch clutch to the engaged condition when in the second position. A piston in communication with the pressurized hydraulic fluid provided by the pump is configured to translate the device along the axis between at least one of the first and second positions.

    摘要: A hydraulically actuated clutch is controlled based on a mathematical model that predicts the position of the clutch piston based on the profile of the commanded pressure over time. During a clutch engagement, a set of delays associated with the preparatory phase of engagement are measured and compared to predicted values. Model parameters are then adaptively adjusted based on the differences between the measured and predicted delays and on an estimate of the sensitivities between model parameters and the delays. Subsequent engagements are controlled based on the updated mathematical model to reduce the delays. Changes in the measured delays following adaptation of the model parameters are utilized to update the estimate of the sensitivities.
