Abstract: For replacing in particular a used main bearing of a wind turbine, a bearing housing is first pulled axially off the main bearing along a rotor shaft, then the used main bearing is divided and disassembled. A new main bearing is assembled around the rotor shaft and the original bearing housing is pushed axially back onto the main bearing. During the replacement of the main bearing, the rotor shaft is supported on a machine carrier by means of a holding device, wherein the holding device is arranged at least partially in the region between a bearing seat and a hub-side end region of the rotor shaft.

Abstract: A spherical roller bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring, first and second roller sets disposed therebetween, and a guide element for guiding the rollers of at least one roller set. The guide element is rotational about a bearing axis of rotation during bearing operation. The bearing further includes a generator, arranged between the first and second roller sets, which includes a magnetic rotor with alternating polarities in circumferential direction and a stator having at least one stator coil. The magnetic rotor is mounted to the guide element, while the stator is mounted to a common outer raceway of the outer ring, radially opposite from the magnetic rotor. In accordance with the invention, the stator has the form of an annular band. The at least one stator coil is formed by a flat conductor provided on a flexible printed circuit board.

The load-calculating unit calculates the thrust load acting on the rotor (5) by multiplying the relative displacement measured by the displacement sensors (19) by a conversion coefficient.

Abstract: A bearing assembly includes a housing having an interior cavity, an opening, and an inward facing seal mounting surface. The assembly includes a bearing and a shaft mounted in the bearing for rotation about a central axis. The assembly includes a seal positioned axially between the interior cavity and the exterior of the housing to inhibit contaminants from entering the housing and damaging the bearing. The seal has a bearing side, an opening side, and a gap surface facing a corresponding surface that is either an outward facing surface of the shaft or thee inward facing seal mounting surface of the housing. The gap surface is spaced from the corresponding surface by a clearance gap. The width of the clearance gap increases from the bearing side to the opening side to direct fluid in the clearance gap away from the interior cavity as the shaft rotates.

Since the thumb wheel rotates with the main shaft bearing, so that the waste oil discharge from the waste oil through hole effectively, thus pollutions to the wind turbine generator and surroundings thereof are reduced.
