摘要: A twin-shaft pump comprising: two shafts configured to rotate in synchronisation, each of the shafts comprising a gear mounted thereon, the gears each comprising gear wheels, the gear wheels being configured to intermesh to provide the synchronised rotation; an oil reservoir comprising a porous material, the reservoir being configured when supplied with oil to retain the oil within the porous material; and at least one wick extending from the oil reservoir towards a first of the two shafts and operable to supply oil by capillary action from the porous material along the wick to lubricate the gears.

摘要: The compressor machine has two rotors rotating in opposite directions, which are fitted to two parallel, spaced apart shafts mounted in a housing. One of the shafts is driven directly and the other by intermeshing toothed gears mounted on the shafts. The housing has two radial walls which are configured in one piece with each other and with a peripheral wall and in which the shafts are mounted. The toothed gears are arranged between these radial walls. A side wall of the housing has an opening sealed by a removable cover. With the cover removed, the toothed gears can be fitted to the shafts through these openings. The bearing bores for the shafts can be produced and machined in the one-piece housing in a single set-up, so that, with a minimum number of parts, any causes of alignment errors are avoided.

摘要: A system for noise and vibration management of a smoke evacuation system includes a pump that compresses air and produces a pressure differential within an airflow path. The pump may be a sealed, positive displacement pump. The system includes vibration absorption mechanisms disposed between inner and outer housings, as well as on the outside surface of the outer housing. Methods of controlling and regulating a motor of the system to preserve the lifespan of the motor and maintain consistent airflow rates throughout the smoke evacuation system include varying a supply of electrical current to the motor so that it can operate at variable performance levels. Orifices are opened and closed in order to relieve resistance pressures within the airflow path due to clogging and blockages.

A vacuum-processing device contains a chamber 40 that enables a workpiece to be soldered in a vacuum environment, an operating part 20 that sets a condition for evacuating the chamber 40, a pump 23 that evacuates the chamber 40, and a control portion 61 that calculates the amount of decrease in the degree of vacuum when evacuating the chamber 40 using a predetermined pump output, sets the calculated value as a reference value and switches an evacuation property from the evacuation property including a lower pump output to the evacuation property including a higher pump output when the calculated amount of decrease in degree of vacuum in real time has become smaller than the reference value.

摘要: Disclosed compressor embodiments can prevent or substantially reduce the inefficient upwardly spiraling heat buildup found in typical compressors by significantly increasing the surface area of mating piston and chamber walls, using the meshing and undulating geometry of the piston/chamber walls to create increased air turbulence in the chamber and generate more air flow against the cooling walls, promoting turbulence even more by varying the axial path of the piston head so that it is not simply linear, using fluid to cool the non-working side of the piston, and/or providing additional cooling features (such as fins) on the non-working side of the piston to provide still further cooling means for the piston head. Analogous principles can also be included in wobble-plate compressors, scroll compressors, blowers, and other compressor types.

摘要: Vacuum pump for pumping gas from a process chamber, the pump comprising: a rotor supported for rotation in a pumping chamber by a drive shaft, the shaft extending through a shaft bore in a wall of the pumping chamber extending transversely to the drive shaft, and a seal arrangement provided between the shaft and the transverse wall for resisting the passage of gas through the shaft bore, wherein on rotation of the rotor gas is pumped from a low pressure region at an inlet of the pumping chamber to a high pressure region at an outlet of the pumping chamber, and wherein the rotor and the transverse wall are spaced apart by an axial clearance along which back leakage of gas can flow from the high pressure region to the low pressure region, and an additional leakage path for back leakage is formed spaced away from the seal arrangement along which gas can flow without contact with the seal arrangement so that the amount of gas which contacts the seal arrangement during use of the pump is reduced.
