    摘要: There is provided a method for starting a spark ignition engine having multiple cylinders. The method may comprise supplying air and fuel for restart into a first cylinder before said engine completely stops, and igniting the mixture of said air and said fuel in said first cylinder in response to an engine restart request, wherein said first cylinder is on an expansion stroke when said engine stops. The method may also include, after said piston in said first cylinder starts moving, injecting fuel into a second cylinder that is on a compression stroke when said engine stops, on a compression stroke where a piston of said second cylinder is moving in a direction opposite to an operative direction of said piston in said first cylinder.

    摘要: A particulate deflagration enhanced firebox for burning particulate fuel either alone or in combination with other fuels and the associated method. The firebox may be employed in association with a power plant where the heat from the firebox is used to generate electricity. Fine fuel particles are fed to a mixing drum or box by a pre-measured auger system where the fuel is mixed with dried, compressed combustion air in a desire fuel to air ratio. The fuel mixture enters the combustion firebox or boiler either alone or in association with other fuels where it is ignited. The hot combustion gases leave the firebox and are vented through the firebox's normal route which generally includes passing through a precipitator for remove particulates before exiting to atmosphere via a chimney stack.

    摘要: The present invention provides an internal combustion engine that provides advantages of both typical 2-stroke engines and typical 4-stroke engines, but using a new design unlike either. The present engine provides for use of pistons as means for opening and closing intake and exhaust ports disposed on cylinder walls. It also provides two pistons per cylinder in an opposing configuration, such that one fuel explosion event causes motion of both pistons per cylinder, in opposite directions. Each piston of a cylinder is connected to a separate crankshaft, which completes a single revolution about its axis per fuel explosion event in a cylinder. In a single cycle of piston movement along the cylinder, a full cycle of ignition, exhaust, intake, and compression is achieved.
