    摘要： A mineral mining installation comprises a longwall conveyor, and a plurality of roof support units positioned side-by-side along the goaf side of the conveyor. The roof support units are positioned to define an access area between the conveyor and the roof support units. A plurality of hydraulic bracing rams act on the conveyor to brace the conveyor longitudinally. Each of the bracing rams is pivotally attached to a floor sill of a respective roof support unit. The hydraulic bracing rams are positioned at the goaf-side edge portion of the access area. The bracing forces are transmitted from the bracing rams to the conveyor via respective transverse arms attached to the bracing rams and to the conveyor.

    摘要： Mining apparatus usable with a conveyor and composed of a beam accommodating a conveyor drive unit and housings operably connected to each end of the beam. Each housing either supports, or is connected to, a telescopic prop which enables the housing to be clamped in a fixed position. Each housing contains a piston and cylinder unit having its cylinder connected to a slide member guided for movement between two resilient guide rails. Two end plates connect to the beam, possible via articulated joints, and extend through recesses in the housings. Each end plate is connected to the slide member in the associated housing so that the conveyor can be tensioned by extending the piston and cylinder units to displace the beam when the housings are clamped.

    摘要： A mineral mining installation composed of a conveyor having a drive station arranged in a cross-heading passage or roadway extending perpendicularly to said conveyor and a beam extending beneath the drive station and generally perpendicular to the conveyor. The beam is connected to roof support units at its ends and an L-shaped guide plate has one arm slideably mounted on the beam and pivotably connected to the drive station. Piston and cylinder units are connected between the guide plate and the beam so as to be capable of displacing the drive station along the beam. The guide plate has its other arm extending alongside the drive station and parallel to the conveyor. On this other arm is slidably mounted a guide piece which is connected to a roof support unit via a piston and cylinder unit.
