摘要： In the preferred embodiment of a panel connector system, the connectors are channel-shaped in cross section. Each of the connector's legs includes an inwardly extending lip, and the connector's base includes two inwardly extending studs. Each of the panels for the system includes a frame including upper and lower horizontal members and two vertical faces attached to the frame. The edges of the horizontal members include two orifices located near the vertical edges of the panel and adapted to engage a connector stud. When a connector is installed on two adjacent panels, one stud engages an orifice in the first panel and another stud engages an orifice in the second panel. When installed, the inwardly extending lips on the connector legs engage horizontally extending grooves in the vertical faces of the panel. The system includes connectors for connecting two aligned panels, two panels at a right angle, three panels, and four panels.

摘要： Thin, planar panels are joined at their edges by an arrangement which includes a hollow, slotted spacing member which seats within grooves in the opposite facing portions of the panel edges to separate the panel edges by a selected distance. Each panel is provided with a bottom connecting member mounted on the bottom of the panel and extending outwardly and upwardly and into the open bottom end of the spacing member. A top connecting member has opposite ends thereof secured to the tops of the panels so as to extend between the panels and over the top of the spacing member. Corners are formed by permanently attaching a pair of spacing members to the right angle edges of a corner post and then positioning the open bottom ends of the spacing members over the up turned ends of bottom connecting members extending from facing portions of a pair of panels to be joined to the corner post. The right angle intermediate portion of a top connecting member is secured within the top of the corner post and the opposite ends thereof are fastened to the tops of the joining panels. The panels are provided with removable top caps held in place on top of the panel by securing the flared end portions of fasteners mounted within the top cap within the inclined slots in fastening brackets secured to the top of the panel. Mounting brackets for supporting shelves and the like at the sides of the panels extend through the thin space between adjacent panels and are secured within the slotted spacing members by a pair of hook members engaging the slots to hold the mounting bracket snugly against the spacing member and a lower projection which wedges against the upper end of a lower slot to prevent inadvertent upward movement or release of the mounting bracket from the spacing member.

摘要： A building construction system employing prefabricated components for high rise construction. The principal components of the system include edge socketed horizontal and vertical panels, two-way horizontal and vertical splines, and four-way vertical column splines. The panels interlock with the splines and column splines by means of complementary protrusions and recesses located in the sockets and spline corners, respectively. A typical floor is completed through erection of the vertical panels engaged in an interlocked relationship by the two-way vertical splines and the four-way vertical column splines, bolted attachment of wall caps, struts and floor beams to the column splines, and assembly of the horizontal panels engaged in an interlocked relationship by two-way horizontal splines which have bolted attachment to the floor beams. Thereafter reinforcing steel bars are placed within the column splines and concrete is poured into the hollow defined by the interior of the column splines.

摘要： The present invention is an improved modular panel arrangement for the assembly of a first panel to a second modular panel or a portion of a permanent wall. The arrangement comprises a modular panel of generally rectilinear configuration, having at least one edge thereon. A first corner block is attached to the edge of the panel. An elongated tensile connecting rod is pivotally attached to a pivot hinge of the first corner block, the rod having a lug disposed transversely across at least one end thereof. A second corner block is attached to the second panel or portion of the wall. The second block has at least one cammed locking finger on a base thereof, wherein the rod is swingable about the pivot hinge on the first corner block to permit the lug thereon to engage a cam surface on the second corner block to lockably secure and align the edge of the first modular panel with the second modular panel or wall. The tensile rod may be adjustable to accommodate variations in spacing of the panels and/or wall. The block may be arranged to accommodate several connecting rods simultaneously to connect two or more separate panels simultaneously.
