Abstract:
A digital video ramp assembly incorporates process-formed structural LED tiles with modular components that join in a system of scalable structural LED tiles forming a complete LED display structure with integrated LED embedded tiles with interlocking and inter-trans-positioning features sometimes requiring additional structural framing.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a white-water river, comprising a river bed capable of guiding a current of water between an upper inlet of the bed and a lower outlet of the bed, and including water-feeding means for injecting a stream of water at the upper inlet of the bed. The river bed is made up of a series of individual bed modules, adjacent to one another, and assembled via respective transverse contact surfaces. The individual bed modules are supported via a lower surface by a modular lattice bearing structure.
Abstract:
A recreational/sport apparatus comprises a playing field, on which a target is arranged protruding from a surface of the playing field, and a ball adapted to be shot toward the target. Conveniently, the apparatus comprises means apt to perform the reconstruction of the trajectory of the ball, those means comprising at least one first camera and at least one second camera apt to simultaneously acquire a plurality of first images and second images, respectively, of the ball, and a central unit which receives the first and second images by means of data reception/transmission means and which processes those first and second images in predetermined consecutive time-intervals, the central unit calculating the two-dimensional position of the ball in each of those first and second images, so as to determine, at each time-interval, the three-dimensional position of the ball by comparing those two-dimensional positions, wherein the target is divided into a plurality of target areas and the central unit is apt to recognize a coordinate at which one of the target areas is intersected by the trajectory of the ball.
Abstract:
An apparatus for playing games is envisaged. It includes a structure that defines boundary of the apparatus. There are multiple elements placed on the apparatus that define player locations. The apparatus can of any size and shape and can be used by players for playing various games. The players can use movable devices separately or the devices can be associated with players for the purpose of playing different games. Multiple lanes are placed at pre-defined positions on the structure for forming junctions in order to control and guide movement of players or moveable devices or movable devices associated with players. These junctions and lanes together form a number of turns that change direction of movement of players during the game play. The apparatus includes transparent bodies, speed regulators, marking units for marking the players and counters for counts number of markings for the purpose of playing different games.
Abstract:
A system for displaying information on a basketball court, boxing ring or other athletic surface. The system includes: a plurality of light arrays configured to be embedded in a top layer of the athletic surface and oriented to emit light upwards through the athletic surface; and a control system for selectively controlling activation of the light arrays to display advertising and other information in the athletic surface.
Abstract:
An energy absorbing sports board assembly positioned at a periphery of a playing surface, includes: a catch plate having front surface facing a playing surface and a back surface opposite to the front surface of the catch plate; a frame having a front facing the playing surface, a back opposite to the front, a bottom portion positioned near the playing surface, a top portion opposite to the bottom portion, and first and second side portions between the top and bottom portions; a first extension hinge extending out from the first side portion of the frame; a second extension hinge extending out from the second side portion of the frame; a first elongated slot in the first extension hinge; a second elongated slot in the second extension hinge; and a dasher board on the front of the frame, wherein the bottom portion of the frame is positioned adjacent to the back surface of the catch plate and the bottom portion of the frame can laterally deflect away from the catch plate during impact on front of the front of the frame.
Abstract:
An energy absorbing sports board assembly that is not fixed to the floor of the arena but is allowed to move relative to the arena floor. The system utilizes vertical and horizontal tension to return the structure to its original position after deflection from impact from within the playing surface of the sports arena. The bottom portion, which is covered with a dasher board, rotates relative to the see-through material making up the top portion (glass). Because the sports board system is not attached to the floor of the arena, hockey players sliding along the ice during a hockey game are protected from concussion and paralyzing injuries to a greater extent than current systems which are fixed to the arena floor. The flexible connection between panels allows one or more panels to slide outward from the playing surface on impact.
Abstract:
A novel bat-and-ball game system and method of playing is provided, wherein a scoring board is disposed at an outfield perimeter of a playing field and runs are scored when batted balls strike the scoring board.
Abstract:
Typical embodiments of the disclosed apparatus are: a traditional soccer ball; a game-play area that is confined within rebound-fences and pass walls; a vertical scoring standard that is configured to spin on a vertical axis when struck by a soccer ball. The identified apparatus may be used in a confined and multi-directional soccer game.
