摘要： Rate of deceleration is an important factor in determining the severity of injuries, such as head and neck injuries, possibly sustained when participants collide with a wall assembly while playing, for example, ice hockey. The described wall assemblies each include a support assembly and a movable wall assembly supported by and movable with respect to the support assembly. Telescoping parts of the movable wall assembly enable deflection of the movable wall assembly to complex angles with respect to the support assembly. In addition, movable wall assemblies can be coupled such that impact on one wall assembly can cause deflection of an adjacent wall assembly. Covers, shields, and spacers can be positioned to decrease gap formation during deflection of the movable wall assembly to reduce the risk of pinch points.

摘要： A transcritical R-744 refrigeration system, especially used for refrigerating a skating rink, has a heat exchanger between the gas cooler followed by a throttling device and the flash tank (or receiver), in order to eliminate the need of a flash-gas bypass. The heat exchanger connects to an external mechanical refrigeration system operating at a higher evaporating temperature than the transcritical R-744 refrigeration system, and generally totally condenses the vapor of the R-744 refrigerant before it reaches the flask tank. A method for improving the energy efficiency of the transcritical R-744 refrigeration system is also disclosed.

摘要： One example embodiment includes a mobile action sports ramp. The mobile action sports ramp includes an incline portion connected to a vehicle portion by a hinge. The incline portion includes a lower incline portion connected to an upper incline portion by a hinge. The lower incline portion folds onto the upper incline portion and the incline portion then rests upon the vehicle portion when the mobile action sports ramp is collapsed and capable of transportation. The lower incline portion unfolds into alignment with the upper incline portion and the incline portion then raises up when the mobile action sports ramp is erected and capable of use in various action sports. Methods for erecting and collapsing a mobile action sports ramp are also provided.

摘要： The invention provides a water storing and icing device for an ice skating rink. The water storing and icing device for the ice skating rink includes a bottom wall, a sidewall, a plurality of fixing parts, and a plurality of fixing members. The sidewall is connected to and surrounds the bottom wall to form a containing space for storing and icing water. The fixing parts are disposed at an outer side of the sidewall. The fixing members are correspondingly connected to the fixing parts and adapted to be connected to the ground. When the containing space is being used to store and ice water, the fixing members support the sidewall, such that the sidewall stands on the bottom wall, and the fixing members are removed after water is frozen in the containing space, so as to use the water storing and icing device as the ice skating rink.

摘要： Spray color dispensing devices and associated systems and methods are disclosed. Color dispensing devices in accordance with certain embodiments include colorant contained in a pressure vessel, a pressure vessel holder including an attachment mechanism and an actuator system, and a control cable leading to a remote trigger controller. The remote trigger controller may be thumb operated or have a push button design, both of which may include a trigger locking device. There may be a deflector near the spray nozzle. The holder and actuator may allow only specifically designed pressure vessels. Also the pressure vessel may be insulated and/or heated to allow the color dispensing device to be used in cold environments.
