    摘要: A fastener unit and related method for securing a board to a support is provided. The fastener unit includes a spacer block, a grip element extending from the spacer block and configured to fit in and engage a groove of the board, and one or more resilient compression elements extending from the spacer block. The one or more resilient compression elements can be a joist leg configured to engage a joist, or it can be vertically compressible toward a first plane that is transverse to a vertical axis of the spacer block so that portions of it can compress from an open mode to a compressed mode and fit within, then forcibly expand within the groove, thereby securing the spacer block in a position adjacent the groove to establish a gap between the board and another board. A related method of use also is provided.

    摘要: Disclosed is a device for connecting and locking building boards comprising a top face (10) and a bottom face (11), especially floor panels (1, 2) that are provided with a core made of a wood material as well as a groove (3, 4; 5, 6; 18, 19) on two opposite lateral edges (I, II). Said building boards further comprise an insert (7; 8; 9) that is used for locking and can be inserted into the groove (3 or 4; 5, 6; 18, or 19) of one of the lateral edges (I, II). The boards (1, 2) are connected by displacing the boards in an essentially horizontal direction (Q) towards each other. The inventive device is characterized in that the insert (7; 8; 9; 17) is provided with at least one springy lip (7a, 8a; 9a; 17a) which extends towards the top face (10) or the bottom face (11).

    摘要: A connecting device for first and second rods has a first profile provided on the first rod and a second profile provided on the second rod. The first and second profiles are joined in a connecting position along a partition line by being moved relative to one another in a direction of a degree of freedom predetermined by the first and second profiles. The first and second profiles are moved immediately before reaching the connecting position in the direction of the predetermined degree of freedom. The first and second profiles in the joined state define a cutout bridging the partition line. A locking bar matching the cross-section of the cutout is inserted into the cutout and provides a movability lock for locking a unit, formed of the first and second rods and the locking bar, in a locking direction opposite to the direction of the degree of freedom.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and hardware for bonding togethernds of a sealing strip. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of cutting a slot in both a first end and a second end of a sealing strip, inserting an attachment strip having a plurality of engaging members into the slot cut into the first end, applying adhesive to the second end of the sealing strip, and placing the two ends of the sealing strip into an abutting relationship by inserting the attachment strip into the slot in the second end and sliding the ends together. The hardware used to effect the method includes an alignment guide having a substantially C-shaped channel for receiving the ends of the sealing strip to be joined together. The alignment guide has an end cap associated therewith having one or more slots for receiving a cutting tool for cutting slots in the ends of the sealing strip. The hardware further includes an attachment strip which is used to join the ends of the sealing strip together.

    摘要: A building construction system employing prefabricated components for high rise construction. The principal components of the system include edge socketed horizontal and vertical panels, two-way horizontal and vertical splines, and four-way vertical column splines. The panels interlock with the splines and column splines by means of complementary protrusions and recesses located in the sockets and spline corners, respectively. A typical floor is completed through erection of the vertical panels engaged in an interlocked relationship by the two-way vertical splines and the four-way vertical column splines, bolted attachment of wall caps, struts and floor beams to the column splines, and assembly of the horizontal panels engaged in an interlocked relationship by two-way horizontal splines which have bolted attachment to the floor beams. Thereafter reinforcing steel bars are placed within the column splines and concrete is poured into the hollow defined by the interior of the column splines.
