    摘要: A helical pile including a heat exchanger is described. The pile is formed from a lead section and one or more extension sections. The interior of the lead and extension sections are hollow and form a heat exchanger cavity. At the lower end of the lead section is a helical blade. Rotation of the lead section causes the helical blade to screw into the ground, thus pulling the lead section downward. Extension sections are added to the lead section and the pile is rotated until it is installed to a desired depth. The pile includes an inflow tube extending a predetermined distance into the heat exchanger cavity and an outflow port connected with the heat exchanger cavity. In operation, a heat carrying fluid is pumped into the inflow tube from a heat source or sink, for example, a heat pump for a building heating and cooling system. The fluid exits the tube at a point near the bottom of the heat exchanger cavity. The fluid flows upward through the heat exchange cavity and exchanges heat with the surrounding soil. The fluid flows out through the outflow port and back to the heat source or sink.

    摘要: Contemplated are simplification and cost reduction in arrangement of connecting a pair of steel pipes to each other. A joint mechanism for a pair of steel pipe piles 1A, 1B includes an inner joint 10A provided in the steel pipe pile 1A, an inner joint 10B, an outer joint 20 disposed circumferentially between and across the inner joint 10A of the steel pipe pile 1A and the inner joint 10B of the steel pipe pile 1B, and a key member 30 configured to prevent relative movement between the pair of steel pipe piles 1A, 1B in a longitudinal direction of these steel pipes 1. The outer joint 20 includes an opening portion 22 (22A, 22B) for inserting, from its outer circumferential face, split key members 31 constituting the key member 30 into a key groove constituted of an outward circumferential groove 13 (13A, 13B) provided in the outer circumference of the inner joint 10A and the inner joint 10B respectively and an inward circumferential groove 23 (23A, 23B) provided in the inner circumference of the outer joint 20 in opposition to the outward circumferential groove 13 (13A, 13B).

    摘要: A helical pile coupler, assembly, and method of assembly. The assembly comprises a first pile segment having first end with a coupler attached thereto. The coupler has two or more coupler aperture pairs and the alignment of at least one of the coupler aperture pairs is radially offset from the alignment of at least one other coupler aperture pair. A second pile segment is receivable in the coupler and the second pile segment has two or more pile aperture pairs that can be aligned with at least two of the two or more coupler aperture pairs, including the at least one radially offset coupler aperture pair. Fasteners are extended through the aligned aperture pairs to secure the second pile segment to the coupler. The fasteners are configured to protrude minimally from the outer surface of the coupler.

    摘要: A composite structure for a pile foundation for anchoring a tower structure (e.g., an offshore wind turbine) in ground, which includes a hollow pile introduced into the ground at an erection site of the tower structure and a corner post which is connected to the tower structure and which, on a connection side, is arranged within the pile. The pile and the corner post are fixedly bonded to one another in a bonding region by a cured bonding material. At least one bonding means for transmitting shear forces is fixedly arranged on the pile and/or on the corner post in the bonding region. The bonding means has at least one aperture which is filled with the bonding material or, together with the corner post or pile, forms the aperture that is filled with the bonding material. The aperture encloses the bonding material by an angular range of 90° or more.
