Abstract: A carbon fiber structure that achieves the strength and durability of steel tower alternatives at 90% less weight and a lower total installed cost. The mass production process provides affordable carbon fiber telecommunication towers that are engineered for peak strength to weight performance. The composite non-corrosive, non-rusting towers are easy to install and transport to remote locations and have lower maintenance than alternatives. The tapered monopole series provides a wide array of tower options that are all engineered for unparalleled strength to weight characteristics. The carbon fiber structures provide an aesthetical, lightweight, minimum base width, that are transportation friendly with sections that can be nested inside themselves to optimize

Abstract: Presented herein are systems, methods, and apparatus related to relocatable tower technologies that facilitate on-site deployment and provide improved stiffness in order to minimize motion at a tower top in a manner that existing approaches, which focus on survivability, do not contemplate. In particular, relocatable tower technologies described herein can be deployed rapidly and at low cost, at outdoor sites, to, e.g., provide a vertical mast upon which equipment can be mounted. In certain embodiments, features of relocatable towers described herein allow the vertical mast to survive and remain rigid while being exposed to outdoor elements, such as wind gusts (e.g., up to 110 Mph). Advantages of relocatable tower technologies described herein are particularly well suited where (e.g., scanning based) imaging and/or detection equipment is mounted at a top of the tower, and/or where towers are deployed at sensitive sites such as hydrocarbon production, storage and processing facilities.

Abstract: A device (100) for securing a post (105) comprises a central portion (110) defining an aperture (115) therethrough configured to engage the post (105) and two or more support members (120) extending outwardly from the central portion (110). Each support member (120) comprises a first portion (125) and a second portion (130), the first and second portions (125, 130) each comprising at least one support element (135, 140) configured to extend towards and further engage the post (105). The second portion (130) is configured to penetrate a post-mounting surface (132) in a substantially longitudinal direction relative to the post (105), thereby securing the post (105) with respect to shear forces acting on the post (105) in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A reinforcement unit and methods are provided for creating footings for supporting structures, such as a fence post, using a reinforcement unit that has a tower that is generally perpendicular to a base, the tower defining a cavity for receiving a portion of the structure and an anchoring material. The reinforcement unit can include a top portion of a tower that is frangible. The base of the reinforcement unit can further include a pocket (or similar recess) substantially similar in width or diameter to the top portion of the tower such that a second identical reinforcement unit can be inverted and stacked on top of the second reinforcement unit. The methods can include placing the reinforcement unit on a layer of backfill material behind the wall face so that the unit is located adjacent the wall face and the base of the reinforcement unit extends away from the wall face, covering the base with at least one other layer of the backfill material, fracturing the top portion from the tower, such that the top portion drops into the cavity of the tower, depositing a bottom portion of the structure in the cavity of the tower, and filling the cavity of the tower with an anchoring material.

Abstract: Disclosed is a base assembly for supporting a crane pedestal. The base assembly comprises four base units, each having a first end and a second end, and each base unit being of an L-shape with an outside beveled corner. Fastening devices connect each base unit at their first and second end to respective first and second ends of another of the four base units. The four base units are dimensioned so that, when connected by said fastening devices, they form an octagonal-shaped base structure. The four base units are also dimensioned to support four pads that each rest on a face of each unit adjacent to its beveled corner when the four base units are assembled in the octagonal-shaped base structure. Also disclosed is a method for assembling a base assembly for supporting a crane pedestal and a fastening device for connecting the ends of two units together.
