摘要： A method of installing a plurality of pin piles into a seabed including at least the steps of: (a) lowering a pin pile apparatus comprising a first pin pile and an attached clump weight towards the seabed; (b) allowing the first pin pile to self-penetrate the seabed based on self-weight of the pin pile apparatus and the momentum from step (a) until the clump weight reaches the sea bed; (c) disconnecting the clump weight from the first pin pile; and (d) recovering the clump weight for use with a second pin pile and repeating steps (a)-(c). In this way, the pin piles are easily installed from their descent to the seabed with the clump weight, which can then be removed and applied to the next pin pile in an easy and repeatable operation without requiring a suction apparatus or hammer or drill.

摘要： The post driver with limited movement floating post anvil does not rely heavily upon the skill of the operator to efficiently drive posts. The post anvil is allowed to move up and down in relation to the driver, but its movement is limited by both lower and upper fixed barriers. Since the movement is limited, the operator can position the driver upon the post allowing the full weight of the driver framework/carrier machine to rest upon the post. The post would push the floating post anvil upward only to the point at which the upper fixed barrier prevents further upward movement of the floating post anvil. Thus, once the floating post anvil abuts the upper fixed barrier, substantially the entire weight of the post driver is resting on the post.

A strike pad projects from the weight to drive a post into a hole drilled in the ground. A fluid cylinder mounted within the housing extends from a lower part of the housing to the interior of the weight and is operable to raise the weight to its extended position whereby the weight can then fall to a lower position at which its strike pad engages the upper end of the post.

摘要： A vehicle-supported post-hole driver comprises a frame adapted to be mounted on the pivot of the vehicle drawbar. It is supported in a fore-and-aft position by a fluid cylinder connected between the frame and the support vehicle, the fluid cylinder providing for fore-and-aft movement of the outboard end of the frame. A second fluid cylinder pivots the frame about the drawbar pivot thereby transversely positioning the outboard end of the frame. The outboard end of the frame supports a pivotally-mounted yoke into which a pivotally-mounted vertical guide bearing is positioned. The combination of the pivoted yoke and the pivoted guide bearing provides a gimbaled arrangement. Slideably positioned in the guide bearing is a vertical shaft to which is attached a drive hammer and post-hole bit assembly. The drive hammer is raised relative to the post-hole bit by means of a fluid cylinder mounted within the bit and connected to the drive hammer. It drops gravitationally and drives the bit into the ground.
