摘要: A root-like expandable foundation pile is disclosed. It includes a movable drill, a foundation body, a number of foundation blade, a foundation cap and a stopper. The foundation blades are designed to have the warped portion protruding outward, so that they can expand outward by rotating the root-like expandable foundation pile in a direction different from that makes the root-like expandable foundation pile drilled into the soil. Extra bearing capacity can be available from the expanded foundation blades. Time and cost of installation can both be saved.

摘要: A foundation-piering system for lifting and supporting a foundation or structure. The system provides a bracket that includes a seat plate and a pier guide. The seat plate extends horizontally below the foundation to engage the bottom surface thereof. A pad is disposed between the seat plate and the foundation to resist lateral movement of the bracket when under load. The pier guide is provided at a non-vertical angle to enable driving a pier from an initial position laterally adjacent to the foundation to a position that is vertically below the foundation. To install the bracket a face is formed along a bottom edge of the foundation and at an angle corresponding to the angle of the pier guide. The pier guide is abutted against the face when installed to minimize rotational forces encountered by the bracket. The bracket requires no fasteners or other coupling with the foundation.

摘要: Pile cap connectors are attached to pipe piles and are secured to an existing building so that the existing building is supported by an array of the deeply driven pipe piles which serve as the foundation for the building. Alternative pile cap connectors are length adjustable to span the distance between the top of the drill driven pipe piles and the underside of the lifted existing building. The pile cap connectors are an integral part of a method using low-overhead equipment to construct a deep piling foundation for an existing building where the method involves lifting the existing building to a predetermined elevation above grade and positioning cribbing stacks to support the existing building at the predetermined elevation above grade. The cribbing stacks are spaced from each other enabling low-overhead equipment to maneuver underneath the elevated building to drill drive the pipe piles at designated locations to provide optimal support for the building. Grout is pumped under pressure into the pipe piles continuously during the drill driving of the pipe piles so that grout exits through a grout port to mix with disturbed soil about the pipe pile to encase the pipe pile in a grout-soil mixture.

摘要: A foundation reinforcement system may include an elongated beam, a first bracket assembly and a second bracket assembly. Each bracket assembly includes a shaft receiving portion and a seat portion. The seat portion includes a plurality of protruding members that protrude upwardly therefrom. 摘要: A system for and method of stabilizing rail track structures using a load transfer apparatus is disclosed. The load transfer apparatus includes a vertical load transfer element with at least one cross-sectional rib and a top load transfer element with at least one longitudinal vertical fin, wherein the top load transfer element is used to transfer applied locomotive and rail car loads to the vertical load transfer element. In one embodiment, the vertical load transfer element comprises a plurality of cross-sectional ribs spaced along a length of the vertical load transfer element. In another embodiment, the top load transfer element comprises a plurality of longitudinal vertical fins spaced along a perimeter of the top load transfer element to enhance stability of the top load transfer element.
