摘要: A method for operating a ratchet assembly. The method includes, when a ratchet lock mechanism is in a first locked position, causing a drive mechanism to rotate by operating a steer cylinder in a selected direction until a first predetermined value, which may be associated with an amount of rotation of the drive mechanism, is reached. The method includes unlocking the ratchet lock mechanism, and resetting the steer cylinder by operating the steer cylinder in an opposite direction until a second predetermined value is reached. The method includes locking the ratchet lock mechanism in a second locked position, and, upon locking the ratchet lock mechanism in the second locked position, causing the drive mechanism to further rotate by operating the steer cylinder in the selected direction until a third predetermined value is reached, wherein the third predetermined value is associated with a selected amount of rotation of the drive mechanism.

摘要: The present invention relates to a screed for a paving machine that includes a flexible smoothing plate, a vertex block a first actuator, and a second actuator. The flexible smoothing plate is provided with a longitudinal length and an outer longitudinal end. The vertex block is located on top of the flexible smoothing plate. The first actuator is connected to the outer longitudinal end and adapted to selectively adjust an elevation of the outer longitudinal end so that the outer longitudinal end of the flexible smoothing plate forms a berm by flexing about the vertex block and extending upward at an angle relative to an inner portion of the flexible smoothing plate. The second actuator is connected to the vertex block and configured to adjust the length of the berm by selectively repositioning the vertex block along the longitudinal length of the flexible smoothing plate.

摘要: A machine lays a bituminous carpet for closing microtrenches. The machine includes a truck having a drive system, which defines a footprint area on a surface whereon the truck can move, and a preparing device for preparing bitumen for laying. The preparing device includes a bitumen container having an inlet into which bitumen in introduced, an outlet through which the bitumen prepared for laying exits, a heating system for raising the temperature of the bitumen introduced into the preparing device. A laying device receives the bitumen prepared for laying and lays the bitumen in carpet form. The laying device includes a forming element for shaping and laying bitumen as a carpet over a laying area; a drain channel, between the outlet of the preparing device and the forming element, conducting bitumen towards the forming element. The preparing device includes a mixing device mixing the bitumen while preparing it for laying.

In one embodiment, a non-contact based measurement system is used to determine the relative position of an implement coupled with a mobile machine. 摘要: The present invention relates to a paving method of forming an intermediate layer, where a non-solidifying rubberized asphalt penetrates, on an asphalt mixture for base layer or a cement concrete to provide a permeable layer and an impermeable (intermediate) layer simultaneously with a single paving process for surface layer. The waterproofing and draining functions of the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer completely block water or moisture from penetrating into the underlying layer and protect the roads from damage due to freezing temperature with the moisture penetrating into the group in winter. The non-solidifying rubberized asphalt layer constituting the intermediate layer has the non-solidifying rubberized asphalt melt down and move upwards under the paving temperature and pressure applied during the paving process of forming a surface layer and firmly bind with the base layer, thereby completing an integrated pavement structure with enhanced water resistance and durability.

摘要: Methods of and apparatus for controlling relative telescoping extension or retraction of multiple telescoping assemblies is provided. The telescoping assemblies connect the main frame of a slipform paver to a side member of the slipform paver. Each telescoping assembly has a telescopic lock associated with the telescoping assembly. A common telescoping force is applied across the telescoping assemblies to widen or narrow the frame width of the slipform paver. Extension of the telescoping assemblies is monitored, and activation of the telescopic locks is controlled so as to determine which of the telescoping assemblies is allowed to telescope under application of the common telescoping force.

摘要: A water ballast for a compactor is disclosed. A ballast tank is installed under a cover plate having a plurality of holes. Through the holes of the cover plate, water falling onto the cover plate drains into the ballast tank. The edges all around the cover plate are slightly angled upwards in order to prevent water from draining out of the cover plate. Also, the water ballast has a ballast drain port on the compactor's frame. The ballast drain port is connected with a drain hole on the ballast tank by a drain hose so that it is used to drain out some water from the ballast tank.
