摘要: The invention provides isolated nucleic acid molecules which encode novel fatty acid desaturases and elongases from the organism Emiliana huxleyi. The invention also provides recombinant expression vectors containing desaturase or elongase nucleic acid molecules, host cells into which the expression vectors have been introduced, and methods for large-scale production of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs), e.g. arachidonic acid (ARA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) or docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

摘要: The present invention relates to methods of synthesizing long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially eicosapentaenoic acid, docosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid, in recombinant cells such as yeast or plant cells. Also provided are recombinant cells or plants which produce long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a group of new enzymes which possess desaturase or elongase activity that can be used in methods of synthesizing long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. In particular, the present invention provides ω3 destaurases, Δ5 elongases and Δ6 desaturases with novel activities. Also provided are methods and DNA constructs for transiently and/or stably transforming cells, particularly plant cells, with multiple genes.

摘要: Provided herein are methods of recovering oil from microorganisms. The methods are useful, for example, in obtaining nutritional oils and/or lipid biofuels. The methods of recovering oil described herein include contacting a population of microorganisms with one or more enzymes under conditions that cause disruption of the microorganisms, concentrating the disrupted microorganisms, and extracting lipids from the disrupted microorganisms at high temperature in the presence of a salt and in the absence of solvent.

摘要: The present application relates to a novel strain of the genus Schizochytrium (Schizochytrium sp.) and a method of producing polyunsaturated fatty acids by using the same. According to one aspect, novel microalgae of the genus Schizochytrium have a high content of fat in biomass, and particularly, a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and therefore, the microalgae, and biomass or bio-oil prepared therefrom, may be useful as a feed source or the like.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of producing a composition containing docosahexaenoic acid as a constituent fatty acid of glycerides. The method includes hydrolyzing a feedstock oil containing glycerides, the glycerides including docosahexaenoic acid as a constituent fatty acid, by action of a first lipase and a second lipase, to increase the proportion of docosahexaenoic acid in glyceride fractions. The first lipase is at least one lipase selected from the group consisting of a lipase obtained from a microorganism of the genus Thermomyces, a lipase obtained from a microorganism of the genus Pseudomonas, a lipase obtained from a microorganism of the genus Burkholderia, and a lipase obtained from a microorganism of the genus Alcaligenes. The second lipase is a partial glyceride lipase.
