A coated article includes a substrate and an anti-fingerprint film formed on the substrate. The anti-fingerprint film is a mixture layer of tin and polyformaldehyde, a mixture layer of indium and polyformaldehyde, or a polyformaldehyde layer. The anti-fingerprint film has an excellent abrasion resistance. A method for making the coated article is also described.

A polymer composition containing a polyoxymethylene polymer having low shrinkage characteristics and/or an expanded processing window is disclosed. The polymer composition is particularly well suited for use in three-dimensional printing systems, such as printers that use filament fusion technology. The polymer composition, for instance, can be a feed material in the form of a filament or polymeric pellets. The feed material can be placed in a printer cartridge for insertion into a three-dimensional printing system. In accordance with the present disclosure, a polyoxymethylene polymer is combined with one or more dimensional stabilizing agents for dramatically improving the processing characteristics of the polymer.

The polyoxymethylene polymer is blended with at least one functional additive. The functional additive can decrease the stiffness of the polyoxymethylene polymer, can decrease the shrinkage properties of the polyoxymethylene polymer and/or increase adhesion of the polymer to metal surfaces.

The polymeric particles contain a polyoxymethylene polymer in combination with a thermoplastic elastomer. The thermoplastic elastomer can include hard segments and soft segments. Also disclosed is a process where the polymeric particles are used to form a fluidized bed for coating metallic substrates. In one embodiment, after being coated with the polymer particles, the coated metal substrate is gas cooled followed by cooling the coated substrate in a bath containing an aqueous medium.
