摘要: A concrete with natural volcanic pumice and a method of manufacturing a concrete with natural volcanic pumice are presented. The concrete with volcanic pumice replaces between 10%-20% of ordinary Portland cement present in conventional cement with ground natural volcanic pumice. The ground natural volcanic pumice is sourced from the Chagai magmatic arc and has a particularly large percentage of aluminosiliceous content. The concrete with natural volcanic pumice has improved compressive strength and water resistance.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a composition comprising a cementitious material, a pozzolanic material, aplite, and an aqueous fluid. Also disclosed herein is a method of servicing a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, comprising: placing the composition into the wellbore; and allowing the composition to form a set cement. The composition can develop suitable mechanical properties and permeability after setting in a wellbore and be expansive.

摘要: A system and method for applying a construction material is provided. The method may include mixing blast furnace slag material, geopolymer material, alkali-based powder, and sand at a mixing device to generate a non-Portland cement-based material. The method may also include transporting the non-Portland cement-based material from the mixing device, through a conduit to a nozzle and combining the transported non-Portland cement-based material with water at the nozzle to generate a partially liquefied non-Portland cement-based material. The method may further include pneumatically applying the partially liquefied non-Portland cement-based material to a surface.

摘要: It has been unexpectedly discovered that the addition of a natural or other pozzolan to non-spec fly ash significantly improves the properties of the non-spec fly ash to the extent it can be certified under ASTM C618 and AASHTO 295, as either a Class F or Class C fly ash. The natural pozzolan may be a volcanic ejecta, such as pumice or perlite. Other pozzolans may also be used for this beneficiation process. Many pozzolans are experimentally tested and may be used to beneficiate non-spec fly ash into certifiable Class F fly ash. Additionally, this disclosure provides a method of converting a Class C fly ash to a more valuable Class F fly ash. This discovery will extend diminishing Class F fly ash supplies and turn non-spec fly ash waste streams into valuable, certified fly ash pozzolan which will protect and enhance concrete, mortars and grouts.

摘要: Some embodiments of the present invention comprise a method of cementing comprising: placing a settable composition into a well bore, the settable composition comprising RFA, hydraulic cement, and water; and allowing the settable composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a method of cementing comprising: placing a settable composition into a well bore, the settable composition comprising RFA, calcium hydroxide (lime), and water; and allowing the settable composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a settable composition comprising: RFA, hydraulic cement, calcium hydroxide, natural pozzolan and water; and allowing the composition to set. Other embodiments comprise a settable composition comprising RFA and any combination of hydraulic cement, calcium hydroxide, slag, fly ash, and natural or other pozzolan.

摘要: A cementitious composition includes (i) white Portland cement having a Blaine fineness between about 350 m2/kg and about 550 m2/kg, a D90 between about 11 μm and about 50 μm, and a total combined iron oxide, manganese oxide, and chromium oxide content of less than 1.0% by weight and (ii) a light color ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) having a Blaine fineness greater than the Blaine fineness of the white Portland cement, a D90 less than the D90 of the white Portland cement, and a total combined iron oxide, manganese oxide, and chromium oxide content of less than 2.0% by weight. The cementitious composition may optionally include at least one of additional SCM, aggregate, fibers, or admixture. The cementitious composition can be a dry blend, a fresh cementitious mixture, or hardened cementitious composition. The cementitious composition can be precast concrete, stucco, GFRC, UHPC or SCC.
