    摘要: The invention relates to a slubbing machine for producing a rove (1) from a fiber web (2), wherein the slubbing machine has at least one spinning nozzle (3) with an inlet opening (4) for the fiber web (2), wherein the spinning nozzle (3) is assigned at least one air nozzle through which the air can be channeled into the spinning nozzle (3) in order to impart a protective rotation to the fiber web (2) within the spinning nozzle (3), wherein the spinning nozzle (3) has an outlet (5) through which the rove (1) can be drawn out of the spinning nozzle (3), and wherein the slubbing machine comprises at least one receiving device (28) arranged downstream of the spinning nozzle (3) in the transport direction of the rove (1), particularly in the form of a winding device (6) to receive the rove (1) leaving the spinning nozzle (3). The invention proposes that the slubbing machine comprises an arrangement (7), to be passed by the rove (1), for detecting and removing yarn flaws (8), the arrangement (7) being placed between the outlet (5) of the spinning nozzle (3) and the receiving device (28). The invention further discloses a method for producing a rove (1) from a fiber web (2) using a slubbing machine, which is characterized in that, after leaving a spinning nozzle (3), the rove (1) passes an arrangement (7) for detection and removal of yarn flaws (8), which is placed between the outlet (5) of the spinning nozzle (3) and a receiving device (28), wherein by means of the arrangement (7), yarn flaws (8) are detected upstream of where the rove (1) is received, and are removed from the rove (1).

    摘要: A method for characterizing a yarn moved along its longitudinal direction. Readings of a characteristic of the yarn along the longitudinal direction of the yarn are detected. Values of a yarn parameter are determined from the readings. An event field is provided, which contains a quadrant of a two-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system, whose abscissa defines an extension of yarn parameter values in the longitudinal direction and whose ordinate defines a deviation of the yarn parameter from a desired value. Densities of events in the event field are determined from the values of the yarn parameter and their extensions in the longitudinal direction. A yarn body is represented as an area in the event field. The area on the one hand is delimited by the abscissa, on the other hand by the ordinate and further by a line in the event field that substantially follows a constant event density. The representation of the yarn body permits a clearing limit to be defined in a rapid and rational manner.

The monitor combines electronic information and mathematical analysis of the movement of the thread, including speed, tension and fiber and consistency, thereby permitting the determination of: 1) presence of knots and inconsistencies in the thread 2) the operating status of the textile equipment and thread feed; 3) the prediction of problems based upon the change of operating characteristics including speed, tension, draw and duty cycle patterns; 4) the control of the textile machine being monitored; 5) the diagnosis of mechanical faults; 6) production accounting; and 7) needle burr detection. The monitor also employs a unique signal comparison incorporating differential circuitry, pattern recognition, and averaging functions to achieve these goals efficiently and reliably as well as means to reduce or eliminate the effect of undesirable electromagnetic transients on the operation of the textile machine.

    摘要: The invention is concerned with an electronic device for testing and controlling the clearing action of an electronic yarn clearer. The device comprises an individual fault measuring circuitry connected to the yarn sensing head of the yarn clearer for detecting yarn faults such as thick and thin places, and selector means for separating the non-tolerable faults from the rest. By comparing the output of the device and the output of the yarn clearer, the non-tolerable faults which have not been cut-out by the yarn clearer are detected. It is possible to eliminate also the latter faults from the yarn by actuating the severing device of the clearer.
