Abstract:
Suction holes are formed in a stacking plane of an output tray, a recording medium recorded by a recording section being placed on the stacking plane. Air above the output tray is drawn through the suction holes, and the drawn air is supplied to the recorded side of the recording medium through an air feed guide disposed downstream of the recording section in the feed direction.
Abstract:
A sheet handling device for wide format sheets including a sheet support plate having a top surface containing suction holes which are connected to at least one suction chamber, the at least one suction chamber being divided into compartments that are connected, though an opening, to a suction device adapted to create a subatmospheric pressure in the compartments, wherein at least one internal wall between adjacent ones of the compartments defines a flow restriction orifice, and at least one of the compartments is directly connected to the suction device, and at least another one of the compartments is indirectly connected to the suction device through the orifice.
Abstract:
A device for manufacturing a product from strip tape includes a roll that draws off and separates a web of material. The web of material is severed into individual strips in cooperation with a multiple circular knife roll. A vacuum conveyor channel is associated with each strip. The vacuum conveyor channel is designed such that each strip is turned on its way to the channel or through the channel by about 90°. The end of the vacuum conveyor channel brings the strips together at one site to form a unit and at that site there are provided a guide and a transport device for the further transport to conversion equipment.
Abstract:
Apparatus for accumulating successive stacks of superimposed sheets on discrete pallets employs a conveyor which delivers a continuous imbricated stream of sheets to a stacking station where a pallet descends with an elevator and gathers a first stack. A separating finger is inserted into the accumulation of sheets at the stacking station at a level above the topmost sheet of the fully grown first stack. The thus obtained gap is increased by lowering the finger at a speed less than that of the elevator, the increased gap receives a positioning member which attracts the lower part of the growing second stack by suction, a table is inserted into the increased gap between the partitioning member and the fully grown stack, the fully grown stack and its pallet are withdrawn from the stacking station and replaced with a fresh pallet, the table and the partitioning member are withdrawn from the stacking station so that the growing second stack descends onto the second pallet, and the above-enumerated sequence of steps is tereupon repeated.
Abstract:
A suction device (100) for a textile machine comprising a mouthpiece (2) for introducing at least one yarn, a suction pipe (3) for guiding the yarn and a suction element (5) for generating a suction pressure. The suction element (5) comprises at least two cyclone elements (1a, 1b) for generating a vortex flow of compressed air. The cyclone elements (1a, 1b) are arranged one behind the other in the suction direction (A), so that a yarn can be passed first through a first cyclone element (1a) and then through a second cyclone element (1b). Each cyclone element (1a, 1b) comprises a cyclone axis, the cyclone axes being aligned in particular coaxially. Each cyclone element (1a, 1b) comprises at least one opening (31a, 31b) at the periphery, which is connected to a preferably common air delivery system (12), in particular in such a way that vortexes in both cyclone elements (1a, 1b) have the same direction of rotation. The suction device (100) comprises in particular a Laval nozzle (13).
Abstract:
A web transfer device for a multiple turret winder on a continuous web process line includes a web delivery assembly having delivery rolls and a core transfer assembly having one or more core receiving structures. The transfer device includes a web transfer assembly configured to receive a web from the web delivery assembly and configured to communicate with the core transfer assembly. The web transfer assembly includes a frame and lay-on roll moveably positioned relative to the frame. The web transfer assembly includes a vacuum hood moveably positioned relative to the frame. The vacuum hood has a cutting device mounted therein and one or more suction holding surfaces that are configured to releasably hold a portion of the web. The suction holding surfaces are movable relative to the frame and the core receiving structures. The suction holding surfaces communicate with the core receiving structures to transfer the web thereto.
Abstract:
A stencil printing machine includes a drum on which a stencil sheet is mounted, and a pressure roller which presses a print sheet fed between the drum and the pressure roller and rotates together with the drum. The print sheet is fed from an upstream side of the pressure roller in a conveying direction, an image is transferred from the stencil sheet onto the fed print sheet in a process where the print sheet passes between the drum and the pressure roller, and the print sheet on which the image is transferred is discharged to a downstream side of the pressure roller in the conveying direction. A suction port forming plate taking a surface thereof as a sheet conveying surface is provided at a position close to a downstream peripheral surface of the pressure roller in the conveying direction, a suction port surrounded by the suction port forming plate and the peripheral surface of the pressure roller is provided, and a suction fan which sucks the air on an outer side of the sheet conveying surface from the suction port is provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus and associated method for indexing a strip of sheet material in fixed amounts along the support surface of a table enable an instrument supported from a carriage spanning the support surface to work on the material in precisely controlled segments and utilize one or two stops fixed in the table and movable engagement means operatively associated with the stops to limit the advancement of the sheet material as the material is indexed. The apparatus includes a transport mechanism connected for movement with the engagement means, and the sheet material is coupled to the transport mechanism for movement along the support surface. The stops define limits of travel of the engagement means and the transport mechanism to precisely fix the amount of advancement of the sheet material between work positions. The indexing operation includes positioning the engagement means at one of the limits of travel, coupling the material to the transport mechanism, and moving the mechanism and material along the support surface until the engagement means reaches another limit of travel.
Abstract:
A conveyor that is disposed at a printing unit of a box making machine and conveys a corrugated sheet 10a that is to undergo printing, includes: a conveyor belt 23 having a conveying face that conveys the corrugated sheet; a suction box 24a that is disposed at a side of a back 23b of the conveying face of the conveyor belt and that suctions the corrugated sheet onto the conveying face with negative pressure; a plurality of guide rolls that guide or drive the conveyor belt. Air blowing means is disposed on the back side of the conveyor belt within a region from an outlet roll to an inlet roll of the guide rolls and blows air to an outside.
