Abstract:
A packaging material comprises a plurality of magnetisable portions thereon, the magnetisable portions comprising at least one spot per package to be formed from the packaging laminate. The packaging material further comprises at least one preparation feature for enhancing finishing of packages, wherein the at least one preparation feature is aligned with a magnetic field mark in the at least one magnetisable portion. Methods for writing and reading, respectively, a magnetic mark on a packaging material are also disclosed.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A cardboard box with four side panels, four bottom flaps and four top flaps. The box is made from a blank having a first height measured between the outermost edges of the top and bottom flaps. The flaps are rotated into abutting contact with the exterior surface of the panels thereby reducing the overall height of the box to the height of the panel. Adjacent pairs of top and bottom flaps are provided with living hinges that enable them to remain in this position when the box is collapsed. The collapsed box is shipped through the mail in this diminished size and then erected into a box of the same height as the panels.

Abstract:
An apparatus for accurately cutting a multi-view print from a sheet of print material is disclosed comprised of a lower body portion and a cutter blade residing in the lower body portion. The cutter blade has a cutting outline corresponding to the outline of the to be cut multi-view print. An upper body portion is rigidly positioned with respect to the lower body portion and has a first opening therethrough corresponding to the outline of the cutter blade and second openings that are defined by the upper body portion for receiving a user's fingers so as to enable the movement of a sheet of print material when positioned between the upper and the lower body portions whereby a lenticular or barrier type cover sheet, positioned in the first opening, permits viewing of the multi-view print to enable the guiding of the sheet of print material into accurate alignment with the cover sheet prior to cutting with the cutter blade.
Abstract:
Product packaging technique including the conversion of paperboard into boxes and packages in a process that includes layout optimization of printing plates and takes into account vendor specifications, box order types, and printing machine constraints.
Abstract:
A conveyor that is disposed at a printing unit of a box making machine and conveys a corrugated sheet 10a that is to undergo printing, includes: a conveyor belt 23 having a conveying face that conveys the corrugated sheet; a suction box 24a that is disposed at a side of a back 23b of the conveying face of the conveyor belt and that suctions the corrugated sheet onto the conveying face with negative pressure; a plurality of guide rolls that guide or drive the conveyor belt. Air blowing means is disposed on the back side of the conveyor belt within a region from an outlet roll to an inlet roll of the guide rolls and blows air to an outside.
