摘要: In the preferred embodiments, the present invention provides substantially improved slit sheet cushioning products by advantageously combining novel paper properties with novel slit patterns for improved features and characteristics. In some illustrative and non-limiting example embodiments, cushioning products of the present invention can include, e.g., a novel slit sheet material in combination with extensible paper employed as, e.g., a cushioning pad or as cushioning within an envelope product, wherein the cushioning product can be substantially more resilient, but, yet, e.g., thinner for better utilization of space.

摘要: A method of forming a gum roll is provided. The method includes providing a strip stock having a first end, a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first end of the strip stock is coupled to a core fixture so the first surface interfaces with the core fixture. The strip stock is rotated to wind the strip stock onto the core fixture such that the first surface interfaces with the second surface to form the gum roll. The method further includes cutting the strip stock to form the second end when the gum roll is wound to an outer roll diameter, the outer roll diameter being greater than a diameter of the core fixture.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments pertain to a combined shipping and expansion device for shipping a roll of unexpanded slit sheet material and for expanding the slit sheet material. In some examples, the device includes: a container made with recyclable paper or board; a roll of slit sheet material wound around a core member and positioned within the container; the roll of slit sheet material having a slit pattern that forms open cells upon expansion; the core member being made with recyclable paper or board and having a length greater than a width of the roll of slit sheet wound around the core member and having protrusions that extend beyond each side of the roll of slit sheet material; a plurality of yoke members within the container, including at least one yoke member that rotatably receives a first of the protrusions and at least one yoke member that rotatably receives a second of the protrusions; and the container having a dispensing opening through which the slit sheet material wound around the core member can be extended and pulled, causing the core member to rotate relative to the yoke members via rotation of the roll of slit sheet material. The combined shipping and expansion device is made from substantially entirely recyclable paper or board materials, whereby after complete dispensing of the slit sheet material from the shipping and expansion device, the combined shipping and expansion device can be recycled in a paper recycling facility.

摘要: An extensible slit sheet paper product is produced having an expandable slit pattern that forms open cells upon expansion of the paper product. The paper product is an extensible paper having an extensibility in the range from 1-9% in the machine direction and 1-5% in the cross direction. The expansion produces an array of hexagonal cells. The expanded extensible paper can be used to wrap an object for shipping by wrapping and cushioning the object in the expanded slit sheet material. The extensible, expandable slit sheet paper can be wrapped around itself to produce a void fill product.

The apparatus includes an accommodation body having an accommodation space which accommodates copper foil wound on a core, a support portion coupled to the accommodation body and configured to support both ends of the core, and an elastic member disposed between the support portion and the core and configured to support the core. Here, the elastic member includes a body portion, a plurality of first protrusions arranged on a top surface of the body portion and extending in a longitudinal direction of the core, and a plurality of second protrusions arranged on a bottom surface of the body portion and extending in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the plurality of first protrusions. Accordingly, vibrations may be buffered in a frequency band of vibrations occurring in a transportation process.

摘要: An expansion devise includes an unexpanded slit sheet roll that is wound on a paper core that is wider than the slit sheet paper. The paper core is placed into a yoke that holds the paper in position on each side of the unexpanded slit sheet material. An adjustable downward pressure is exerted on the paper core and the paper core exerts pressure on the yoke. As the paper is pulled, this downward pressure creates the friction required to enable the unexpanded slit sheet to be unwind and fed while simultaneously expanding. A blank sheet is formed into a box that stabilizes slit paper sheet wound around a core member.

摘要: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a film roll package that hardly suffers from deformation of a paper box owing to moisture condensation in a container, or hardly suffers from deformation of a paper core for the film roll owing to impact, etc., upon transportation thereof which tends to be caused by deterioration in strength of the paper core for the film roll owing to absorption of moisture. The present invention relates to a film roll package for transportation comprising a film roll comprising a paper core and a plastic film wound around the paper core, a paper box accommodating the film roll therein which is rested on a pallet, plastic films or sheets respectively disposed on upper and lower side surfaces of the paper box, each of the plastic films or sheets having a longitudinal dimension and a lateral dimension which are longer than a longitudinal dimension and a lateral dimension of the upper or lower side surface of the paper box, respectively, and a thickness of 5 to 500 μm, and a stretched film wound over side surfaces of the paper box and the pallet so as to cover 20 to 90% of a height of a side surface of the pallet to fix the paper box onto the pallet.
