摘要: A collection of articles is disclosed. The collection of articles has a supporting medium and a first plurality of parallelepiped containers arranged in a first layer upon the supporting medium. Each parallelepiped container of the first plurality of parallelepiped containers is disposed adjacent each other to define a first space therebetween. A first portion of the first sidewall of the first parallelepiped container disposed within the first space is bonded to a first portion of the first sidewall of the second parallelepiped container disposed within the first space when the first parallelepiped container and the second parallelepiped container are in contacting engagement. A top of a third parallelepiped container of the first plurality of parallelepiped containers is bonded to a bottom of a third parallelepiped container of the second plurality of parallelepiped containers at least partially coextensive thereto.

摘要: A contact printing system is disclosed. A gravure cylinder having a plurality of discrete cells disposed upon an outer surface thereof. A first portion of a first fluid and a second portion of a second fluid are disposed from a respective channel disposed internal to the gravure cylinder. The gravure cylinder, including the first and second at least one channels and the plurality of discrete cells, is formed so that the gravure cylinder has a unibody construction and has no moving parts interior to the gravure cylinder.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to adjusting and maintaining a position of a cutting surface used to create lines of weakness for rolled products. A perforating apparatus includes a housing rotatably supported by a frame, wherein the housing is adapted to rotate about a first axis. A support member including a first cutting surface is rotatably supported by the housing, wherein the support member is adapted to rotate about a second axis offset from the first axis. A roll including a second cutting surface is positioned adjacent the support member, wherein the roll is adapted to rotate about a third axis. The second cutting surface is adapted to contact the first cutting surface as the roll rotates about the third axis. The perforating apparatus is configured such that the functions of adjusting the position of the first cutting surface and holding the first cutting surface in a fixed position are separate.

摘要: A surface winder for winding a web material around a core to obtain a log is disclosed. The surface winder provides a core inserter for inserting a core into an introductory portion of a winding cradle defined by an upper winding roller, a concave cradle, a lower winding roller, and a third oscillating roller. The concave cradle has a leading edge device having a surface with at least one channel disposed therein. The at least one channel has a single entry point and a single exit point and extending from a position external to the leading edge device and a first location disposed upon the surface capable of receiving a fluid from the at least one channel. The fluid is fluidically displaced onto the core from the at least one channel when the core is in contacting engagement with the first location disposed upon the surface.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to packaging apparatuses and methods adapted to wrap absorbent paper product in a continuous sheet of film formed into tube shape with an asymmetric opening. A former may include a plurality of forming members, wherein each forming member includes an outer surface connected with an inner surface along an edge. In operation, a continuous sheet of film advances around the edges of the forming members and forms an opening. In addition, opposing longitudinal edges of the continuous sheet are guided into an overlapping arrangement that forms the plastic film into a tube shape that extends downstream from the opening in the machine direction. The opening is symmetrical about a first axis and is asymmetrical about a second axis. Absorbent paper product to be packaged advances in the machine direction through the opening and into the tube.
