Abstract:
Stackable packaging modules for packaging oblong objects with a U-shaped profile made from synthetic material, formed by a horizontal bottom profile and two upright legs which can be fixed, or collapsible whereby the horizontal bottom profile along both upright long sides is provided with at least two protrusions and at least two hollow recesses in which the at least two protrusions and at least two recesses of a horizontal bottom profile of an adjoining module fit. The horizontal bottom profile is provided on the underside over the whole length with a slit-shaped recess in which a fork of a forklift truck, reach truck or side loader fits.
Abstract:
A plurality of sliding rails and a frame structure comprising a plurality of frame elements configured to be arranged at least partly circumferentially around a tower structure. Each frame element is slidably connected to at least one of the sliding rails, and the frame elements and the sliding rails are interconnected to form a scissor structure. An upwardly directed lifting force applied by a hoisting mechanism at connecting points at or near positions where the frame elements are connected to the sliding rails, in combination with gravity working on the frame structure, causes the frame elements to slide along the sliding rails, thereby causing the scissor structure to contract or expand to adjust a diameter of the frame structure to an outer diameter of the tower structure having the apparatus mounted thereon.
Abstract:
A handling device for a rotor blade of a wind turbine e.g. that can be used for lifting, lowering, transporting, or storing the rotor blade includes at least one cradle for supporting the rotor blade and a moldable support pad secured to the cradle. The moldable support pad includes an outer covering filled with a plurality of granules that act as a fluid when the rotor blade is placed atop the support pad such that a shape of the support pad substantially matches a profile of at least one of the exterior surfaces of the rotor blade.
Abstract:
A packing member having a structure capable of reliably extinguishing a fire generated in a cooking apparatus and a cooking apparatus having the packing member are provided. The packing member for packing components of a cooking apparatus includes a flange formed by bending at least one side thereof. The flange is provided to cover at least a portion of an inlet formed at one side of the cooking apparatus to allow external air to be introduced into the cooking apparatus when the packing member is received in the cooking apparatus or at least a portion of an outlet formed to allow air in the cooking apparatus to be discharged.
Abstract:
A bundle of containers like bottles or cans comprises a structure (2) for holding containers (3), having a base wall (4) intended to support the containers (3) and lateral walls (5) extending from the base wall (4), which define a compartment (6) intended for the support of the containers (3). The compartment (6) is impermeable for receiving a predefined amount of ice intended for cooling the containers. The bundle (1) also comprises a wrapping (7) made of thermoretractable plastic material which wraps the structure (2) for holding containers (3) and the containers (3) arranged therein. The wrapping (7) has at least one access opening (8) for the introduction of the ice into the housing compartment (6) of the structure (2) for holding containers (3). An optional spacer between containers provides gaps for receiving the coolant.
Abstract:
A web-storing container, which is easy to refill and has excellent appearance, with which webs can be removed easily and a lid can be opened and closed easily regardless of whether an outlet faces upward, horizontally or downward, and wherein internal space of a holding-frame can be utilized more effectively. The web-storing container including: bag-shaped container wherein web stack is stored; and holding-frame capable of storing and holding bag-shaped container. Holding-frame has front, rear, side and bottom sections. Bag-shaped container is provided with, in front-surface thereof, web outlet and engaging section that protrudes from front-surface or side surface of bag-shaped container. Engagement section supported by section that protrudes from side-section of the holding-frame into holding-frame is formed. Engagement section is disposed at predetermined position spaced apart from front section toward rear section of the holding-frame. Bag-shaped container is held by the holding-frame through engagement of the engaging and engagement sections.
Abstract:
The device enables a free-standing package to be formed with an open, light structure for packing a bundle of individual flat articles placed in direct juxtaposition and aligned along a straight longitudinal axis in the direction of the thickness of the flat articles. The device includes a pair of individual rigid lateral supports which are opposite each other and which rest directly on the respective sides of the bundle. The rigidity of the flat articles in the width direction is used to form the free-standing package. In particular the device enables the longitudinal compression of the flat articles to be controlled, which is useful in the case of flat articles which have a shape memory, such as folding cartons.
Abstract:
A protective cover for a flat screen television that includes an ornamental appearance. The protective cover includes a rectangular frame having a front portion with a central opening that rests flush against the border of a television, and a side portion that extends rearward from the front portion and covers the sides of the television. The protective cover can be press fitted to a flat panel display or can include one or more fasteners thereon for securement to the front portion of a flat panel display. The side portion includes one or more apertures for receiving decorative objects, and further includes openings for providing access to the controls of the flat panel display. The frame can include any of various colors, patterns, or logos thereon so as to provide a customized appearance suited to the décor of the room in which the television is located.
Abstract:
A transportation and storage system for a wind turbine rotor blade comprises a tip end frame assembly comprising a tip end receptacle and a tip end frame. The tip end receptacle comprises an upwardly open tip end-receiving space for receiving a portion of the tip end of the blade and having a supporting surface for supporting the blade, a lower surface allowing the tip end receptacle to rest upright on a substantially horizontal surface, such as the ground, and releasable retaining means for releasably retaining the tip end of the blade in the receiving space of the tip end receptacle. The tip end frame comprises an upwardly open receptacle-receiving space for receiving the receptacle and provided with positioning means for positioning the receptacle in the tip end frame. A base part defines a bottom surface allowing the tip end frame to rest upright on the ground.
Abstract:
Specific composite materials described herein are based on the discovery that certain selections of materials and manufacturing conditions and processes provide unexpectedly improved self-supporting thin-film composite materials. It has been discovered that certain combinations of backing materials, shrink film materials, and manufacturing conditions provide improved composites having highly controllable, readily repeatable, and stable arc shaped cross-web curled structures. In general, the composite materials described herein comprise a dimensionally alterable film such as a polyester shrink film having a first surface and a second surface, and a polyester backing material having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface of the backing material is laminated to the first surface of the dimensionally alterable film. Upon activation of the alterable film, for example upon exposing the composite material comprising the polyester heat shrink film to heat, the composite material can be imparted with an arc shaped cross-web curled structure along it longitudinal width, resulting in resistance to bending in its axial length, and a self-supporting material.
