摘要: A powerboat has a hull, keel, a transom, sidewalls, and a gunwale. The hull has at least one stringer on each side of the keel. An upwardly generally transversely oriented elongated structural member is secured to the transom. A lower generally transversely oriented structural member is secured to the transom in generally underlying relationship with respect to the upper generally transversely oriented structural member. At least one generally vertically oriented structural member is secured to the upper and lower transversely oriented structural members. The upper transversely oriented structural member serves to transfer a load from the transom to the gunwales. The lower transversely oriented structural member serves to transfer load from the transom to the keel and stringers. The powerboat may be a performance boat having the hull composed of outer and inner layers of aluminum skin with an interposed resinous foam material or a single plate.

摘要: A reinforced hull for a flat-bottomed boat comprises a bottom panel having longitudinal and lateral braces extending across an upper surface of the bottom panel of the hull. The braces are formed from channel members having outwardly and downwardly sloping legs connected together by a web. The lateral braces have notches formed in and extending upward from bottom edges of the legs with each notch sized to receive a longitudinal brace therein. Lower, outer corners of the bow are reinforced and an engine stand is welded to the brace assembly.

Under the method of the present invention, the walls are constructed as to not be connected, allow the fire insulation blanketing to be a prime barrier to potential fire hazards. Due to several reasons aluminum can be a better material than steel to utilize for the purpose of marine accommoda tions. Aluminum is considerably lighter, due to the crane capacities on offshore floating platforms and boats, the lighter the building the safer it is to lift.

摘要: A pedal-powered watercraft comprises a unitary hull having an upper wall extending from a bow portion to a stern portion of the watercraft and a pair of spaced hollow sponsons located on either side of the upper wall. The upper wall together with inner walls of the sponsons form a tunnel that opens generally downwardly and extends from the bow portion to the stern portion of the watercraft. A deck is connected to the hull and includes an elongate opening that defines a cockpit area for receiving an occupant. A seat is located in the cockpit area and a pedal assembly is connected to the hull forwardly of the seat. The pedal assembly includes a pivotal pedal tower and a pair of pedals rotatably mounted on the pedal tower. The pair of pedals are operably connected to drive the propeller during pedal rotation.
