摘要: The Personal Mass Transit (PMT) system utilizes a removable vehicle conveyance apparatus and method for conveying transit vehicle car-pods and their contents from one transit station to another autonomously. Vehicle conveyance apparatus are stored off-line in storage silos and other areas awaiting on-demand transit system instruction to pickup vehicles at loading points and convey them to different stations as requested by occupants or pre-programmed instructions. The PMT system further utilizes a number of transmitter-receivers nodes and control computers to manage all aspects of operation of the transportation system. Any number of different types of PMT vehicles could ride the transit system when equipped with the correct coupling points and remain under the maximum combined curb weight of any particular area or type of transit track in order to be transported on the PMT system.

摘要: The invention transforms conventional vehicles into Personal Road-Rail Vehicles (PRRVs) that have revolutionary dual mode of travel capabilities that permits their being driving as both conventional vehicles on conventional roads and as revolutionary high speed PRRVs on compact Road-Rail Highway Systems (RRHSs) (somewhat vaguely similar to a one car, high speed passenger train). it is envisioned these PRRVs and RRHSs will permit cost effectively upgrading and modernizing the national transportation system and infrastructure by: significantly reducing traffic congestion at major cities and highways by cost-effective adding additional multi-stacked, compact RRHS' lanes on existing real estate; expediting the transition to all electric PRRVs and the construction of electric power grids nationwide to support the embedded power grids in the RRHSs; and lastly by providing automated PRRV travel on RRHSs that will support evolving to fully automatic PRRV travel thus reducing the need for high speed passenger trains.

摘要: The present invention provides a vehicle, system, and method for mass transit transportation, the system according to one embodiment including a plurality of passenger vehicles configured such that each passenger vehicle includes a passenger module (110) for transporting at least one passenger being attachable and detachable from a transport-base (120) and a rail-base (220). At each of a plurality of transport-rail interchange hubs (204) the passenger modules are transferred from transport-bases (120) to the rail-bases (220). At each of a plurality of rail-transport interchange hubs the passenger modules are transferred from rail-bases (220) to transport-bases (120). Each passenger vehicle is adapted to transport the at least one passenger on at least one of transport and rail without exiting the passenger module (110).

摘要: A system and method for hybrid personal transit and components thereof is disclosed. The hybrid personal transit (“HPT”) system can be a system of combined highway and monorail transportation methods, which allows roadworthy HPT vehicles to transition onto, and run on, a system of monorails. The rails can be built on the ground, on poles, or in tunnels. A unique drive system will allow each HPT vehicle to alter drive output from the HPT vehicle's tires to a rail drive system.

摘要: A transport system for providing increased capacity to move individuals and freight while still accommodating the individual needs of passengers and freight movers to travel to unique destinations. The transit system including a car including a set of switching wheels that are designed to engage with a set of switching rails, the switching wheels being moveable to selectively engage with the switching rails to either maintain the car on the track or switch the car off to another track. The car has the capability to travel on the relatively high-speed track and on a conventional surface street.

摘要: A mass transportation system deploys dual use vehicles that transfer between a primary track and streets via a secondary or switching track. The dual use vehicles have comparable size and weight to ordinary automobiles but are configured to engage the primary track via either the street tires or a co-axially disposed wheel. When engaging the primary track the vehicles travel clustered in pods or groups for higher speed travel than on ordinary roads. The vehicles transfer from the primary track without a significant change in speed by disengaging or engaging the switching track. The switching track selectively drops or removes single vehicles from the pods according to the position of a track engaging support member associated with each vehicle.

摘要: The invention is a system that is movable along a guide. It includes housing having a center of mass, a first wheel and a second wheel, each connected to the housing and configured to rotate about a respective axis. Each axis is displaced from the center of mass to create a rotating moment that biases the first wheel and second wheels into frictional engagement with the guide. The invention also includes a rotator, and controls in communication with the rotator and positioned at a location remote from the housing. The housing moves relative the guide.

摘要: An electrically powered vehicle transportation system utilizes a guideway with parallel enclosed rails. Each enclosed rail has an electrical bus bar for supplying power to vehicles on the guideway. The guideway will accommodate dual-mode vehicles that are capable of usage on conventional streets as well as on the guideway. The guideway also accommodates conventional vehicles and ferries that operate only on the guideway. The dual-mode vehicle has a body with axles that are extensible. The axles move from a retracted position, with the wheels recessed within the wheel wells, to an extended position. In the extended position, the wheels locate within the enclosed rails. Conventional vehicles and freight are carried on ferries that move along the guideways.
