    Abstract: A control circuit of a first vehicle may transmit an invitation for a second vehicle to join a vehicle platoon with the first vehicle. The vehicle platoon may include a plurality of vehicles for traveling. The invitation may include one or more travel parameters. The control circuit may receive a response to the invitation for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon, the response indicating one or more characteristics of the second vehicle. The control circuit may determine that the second vehicle is to be included into the vehicle platoon based on the one or more characteristics of the second vehicle. The control circuit may, in response to determining that the second vehicle is to be included in the vehicle platoon, generate instructions for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon. The control circuit may output the instructions for the second vehicle to join the vehicle platoon.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are configured to generate, based on a user profile, one or more dynamic inspection task checklists for a respective autonomous vehicle (AV) of one or more AVs in an AV fleet based on a first enterprise-defined task protocol. The one or more dynamic inspection task checklists are associated with one or more respective AV subsystems, and the user profile is associated with a respective user role such that the one or more dynamic inspection task checklists differ dependent upon the respective user role. The method, apparatus and computer program product are also configured to cause the one or more dynamic inspection task checklists to be rendered via an interactive inspection interface of a user computing device associated with the user profile such that one or more respective inspection tasks comprised in the one or more dynamic inspection task checklists are interactive.

    Abstract: A method of processing data for a driving automation system, the method comprising steps of: obtaining image data from a camera of an autonomous vehicle, AV; image processing the image data to obtain a vehicle registration mark, VRM, of another vehicle within the surrounding area of the AV; looking up the VRM in a vehicle information database to obtain information indicative of the make, the model and the date of manufacture of the other vehicle; looking up information indicative of the make, the model and the date of manufacture of the other vehicle in a vehicle dimensions database to obtain at least one dimension of the other vehicle; and updating a context of the autonomous vehicle based on said at least one dimension of the other vehicle.

    Abstract: To automatically follow a host vehicle to a destination location, a client device in a vehicle identifies a host vehicle to follow to a destination location, transmits a communication signal to the identified host vehicle, and receives a response signal from the identified host vehicle. The client device determines a position of the host vehicle relative to the vehicle based on a round trip time of the communication signal and the response signal, and adjusts control of the vehicle in accordance with the position of the host vehicle relative to the vehicle.
