摘要： A system, apparatus and method for controlling the height of a frame of a self-propelled high ground clearance, agricultural product applicator above a ground surface utilize a trailing link suspension system including an extensible air strut, for connecting ground engaging wheels of the applicator to the frame of the applicator. The trailing arm suspension system includes an upper suspension arm attached to the frame, a lower suspension arm providing sole support of a ground engaging wheel attached to the lower arm, and the extensible air strut interconnected between the upper and lower arms. Height of the applicator above the ground surface is controlled by regulating a flow of pressurized air to the air strut, to thereby control extension of the air strut.

In the preferred embodiment, the leverage arms (30, 40) and shock-absorbing component (50) pivotally connect a vehicle chassis to a vehicle wheel spindle (26). As the vehicle moves over uneven terrain, the configuration of the variable ratio floating suspension system (10) isolates vibrations and other unwanted forces in the shock-absorbing component (50) so that these forces are not transferred to the associated vehicle chassis.

The inventive device includes a frame, a plurality of rear wheels rotatably attached to the frame, a motor mechanically connected to the rear wheels, a pair of skis attached to the front portion of the frame, and a central control unit for allowing control of the ice-fishing house system. The rear wheels are attached to a rear evener arm wherein the rear evener arm is pivotally attached to a rear lifting arm. A rear cylinder is connected to the rear lifting arm to facilitate lifting and lowering of the rear portion of the frame with respect to a surface. A pair of front lifting arms are pivotally attached to the front portion of the frame and extend outwardly to support and engage the skis. A front cylinder is pivotally connected between the pair of front lifting arms to facilitate lifting and lower of the front portion of the frame with respect to a surface. In an alternative embodiment, a pair of front wheels are rotatably attached to the front lifting arms to allow the inventive device to be utilized upon various types of surfaces.

摘要： An assembly for movably supporting a wheel on a frame of a house trailer has a torsion bar extending horizontally perpendicular to the normal horizontal transport direction of the trailer, with the inner bar end being anchored to the trailer frame and the outer bar end being limitedly elastically pivotal about the bar axis relative to the inner bar end. An arm extends generally perpendicular to the bar axis and generally in the transport direction, and has an inner arm end fixed to the outer bar end and an outer arm end. This arm is formed of a piece of flexible steel plate lying in a vertical plane parallel to the normal transport direction so as to be substantially inflexible angularly of the bar axis between the arm ends and relatively flexible parallel to the bar axis between the arm ends. A substantially rigid and inflexible wheel-support strut has an outer strut end connected to the outer arm end and an inner strut end mounted by means of a bearing on the frame for pivoting of the strut about a strut axis skew to the bar axis and passing through the inner strut end. The outer strut and outer arm ends carry a wheel that is rotatable about a wheel axis substantially parallel to the bar axis. As the strut pivots about the strut axis the bar will twist about the bar axis and the arm will deform parallel to the bar and wheel axes between the outer strut and bar ends.

摘要： A chassis system and a suspension module for vehicles having wheel subsystems incorporates a lateral torsion bar and a co-axial enveloping damper unit, featuring active-adaptive suspension characteristics. Pre-fabricated suspension modules are situated inside respective box-structures, connected via wheelbase and track members, allowing the storage of heavy elements (e.g., batteries or fuel-cells) at the chassis. The robust and self-carrying chassis is enhanced, using upper body members, in terms of structural rigidity, for a given wheelbase, achieving high impact-energy absorbtion. The suspension arms incorporate upper and lower members, articulation, connect internally or externally to the suspension module, and transmit drive and brake forces to the wheels. The suspension module, box-structure, torsion-bar/damper unit, drive and transmission unit, suspension arm and steer module, featuring asymmetrical steer characteristics, can be reproduced on each corner of the chassis, featuring electronic control without mechanical connection (steer by wire), constituting the chassis of the vehicle.
