The device includes a thread guide, a coating chamber into which a first feed channel and a second feed channel run, which are independent of each other, connected to a first feed device and to a second feed device respectively and capable of delivering a first material and a second material under pressure and with a defined flow rate, and the outlets of which channels are placed above and below the plane of the ply of threads, and an output die. Pressure-measuring device, connected to a controller for controlling the pressure of each of the feed devices, are placed in the coating chamber facing and in line with each other, on either side of the plane of the ply and in the immediate vicinity of the outlet for the feed channels.

    摘要: The invention includes a method and an extrusion apparatus for shaping plastic materials particularly those of high molecular weight, whereby the temperature distribution in an extrusion cylinder allows for the build-up of very high pressures and all axial pressure forces are absorbed by a two-sided extruder screw, the extrusion cylinder and, in some instances, the therein contained plastic material. In practicing the method, the plastic material in a flowing state, and at a positive pressure, is continuously conveyed to an extrusion apparatus, and subsequent to its entrance in an extrusion cylinder and before its discharge is cooled to a temperature below the solidification point, not only from the outside by a cooling source in the extrusion cylinder but also from the inside by a cooling source in the interior of the extruder screw.The present invention makes possible the production of materials of improved strength and elasticity, which can be molded to synthetic threads, films and splittable films.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided for extruding a polymer which is subject to periodic surges. The apparatus includes a barrel with an upstream portion for receiving polymer, a downstream portion and a discharge port near the downstream portion. The apparatus also includes a shaft mounted for rotational movement about a longitudinal axis within the barrel as well as drive means connected to rotate the shaft. The apparatus has a surge suppressor for urging polymer upstream toward the discharge port while permitting a portion of polymer to flow downstream into the surge suppressor. A sensor is positioned within the apparatus to detect surges in the polymer and a controller is connected to the sensor and to the drive means for adjusting shaft rotation in response to polymer surges.
