Abstract:
An apparatus for processing thermoplastic synthetic plastic material to be recycled comprises a first receptacle (1) and a second receptacle (2) for the material to be processed. Within both receptacles (1, 2) tools (21) for mixing and heating the material circulate around a vertical axis each. The material reaches the second receptacle (2) which is connected to an evacuating means (9), from the first receptacle (1) through a connecting conduit (3). The first receptacle (1) has above an intake opening (19) for the material to be processed, and the mouth of the connecting conduit (3) in the second receptacle (2) is disposed at a higher level than the tools (21) circulating in this receptacle (2). The material processed is carried off the second receptacle (2) through a discharge opening (49) by means of at least one screw (47), whereby this receptacle is vacuum-tightly closed. To the intake opening (19) of the first receptacle (1) that also is connected to an evacuating means (9), a sluice (6) is connected. In both receptacles (1, 2) at least two tools (21) each circulate in different levels, disposed one upon the other, wherein the intake opening (19) in the first receptacle (1) is disposed higher than the uppermost tools (21) circulating in this receptacle 1. The discharge opening (49) of the second receptacle (2) is disposed at least substantially at the level of the lowermost tools (21) circulating in this receptacle (2). In each one of the two receptacles (1, 2) at least one temperature sensor (32) is provided for each plane of the circulating tools (21) which sensor is disposed higher than its associated plane.
Abstract:
This is a proposal of a process and a device for the serial assembly of extrudates with securing elements or the like, where the securing elements or the like are fed to the extrusion tool during the extrusion process. Then they are inserted in said extrusion tool and anchored in the extrudate as a result of the occurring extrusion.
Abstract:
A device for controllably and uniformly feeding from the output of a source of an endless strip of material, according to weight requirements, sections of strips of the material to the input of a material utilizing device. The apparatus comprises a continuously moving conveyor band leading from the source of strip material to the input of the device. Controllably operating cutting means cut the endless strip and indicating means indicate the length of each section. Controllably operating gates prevent the passage of a section along the conveyor band and measuring means measure the weight of the sections on the conveyor band. A pulse counter responsive to the indicator and the measuring means count a number of pulses related to the length of a section for activating the cutting means to cut the endless strip and for activating the gate to block the passage of a section on the conveyor band for a period of time related to the weight as measured by the measuring means to control the space between sections.
Abstract:
A piece insertion method for a pipe, for example an irrigation pipe, including: ejecting at least one piece, for example a dripper, from an ejection unit, advancing the at least one dripper inside the irrigation pipe by a dripper advancing unit, lifting the dripper towards the inner surface of the irrigation pipe by using a lifting device such that the dripper is parallel or substantially parallel to this inner surface of the irrigation pipe on impact with this inner surface. The method according to the invention allows also coordination between the lifting device, the ejection unit and the dripper advancing unit such that the dripper spacing can be maintained in tight tolerances.
Abstract:
A pump system comprising a delivery assembly configured to feed a solid material under operational power of a first drive motor, and a screw pump comprising a housing that at least partially defines a barrel of the screw pump, an extrusion tip secured to the housing at a first end of the barrel, a liquefier secured to the housing and intersecting with the barrel, and an impeller extending at least partially through the barrel. The liquefier is configured to receive the solid material fed from the delivery assembly, to at least partially melt the received solid material, and to direct the at least partially melted material to the barrel, and the impeller is configured to drive the at least partially melted material that is directed to the barrel toward the extrusion tip under operational power of a second drive motor.

Abstract:
A device which can be used to prevent a jam of the sizing aperture in the cooling chamber of extrusion process apparatus is disclosed. The device includes a cutter blade which, when an outsized extrudate that would cause a jam of the sizing aperture is detected, operates to sever the extrudate entering the cooling chamber from that already present therein to prevent the outsized extrudate being drawn into the sizing apparatus or being pushed into the same by the extruder pressure. The device also functions to close off the aperture to prevent loss of the liquid coolant in the event of a jam.
