摘要: In a hair-cutting system (1) that comprises a cutter arrangement (20) configured to be moved over skin (10) and comprising at least one functional cutter unit (21) configured to perform a cutting action on hairs (11) protruding from the skin (10), a hair detector (30) is used for the purpose of detecting the presence of a hair (11) in a detection area (31) near or in the at least one functional cutter unit (21). The hair detector (30) comprises at least one hair-contacting portion (32) made from a mechanically deformable material and is configured to provide detector output (dout) representative of whether or not a hair (11) is detected in the detection area (31). In this way, a method of controlling operation of the hair-cutting system (1) in relation to hair detection is enabled.

摘要: System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

摘要: A vacuum apparatus for collecting cut hair includes a housing and a motor located in the housing. A fan is operatively connected to the motor for producing a negative pressure within a filter assembly. A filter assembly includes a filter housing and a filter is located in the filter housing. The filter is configured to move away from an end of the filter housing and increase a storage volume for cut hair within the filter housing. A position sensor is located in the filter housing that is configured to detect the filter. A processor receives a signal from the position sensor when the position sensor detects presence of the filter. The processor uses logic saved in a memory to instruct the motor to increase speed of the motor from an initial speed based on the signal.

摘要: The invention relates to an electric shaver (1) comprising a cutter unit (3), an electric motor (4), a load detector arranged to detect a load current of the motor (4) and a controller. The controller switches the average voltage from a first level to a second level once the load current exceeds a first threshold value (TH_TH), and switches the average voltage from the second level back to the first level if the load current falls below a second threshold value (TH_TL) and stays below the second threshold value (TH_TL) for a predefined time period. By operating on a lower energy consumption when the cutter unit of the shaver is not in contact with the skin, energy is saved without the need for a proximity sensor.
