    Abstract: A fluid application system includes a manifold defining an internal passageway for fluid flow therethrough and a plurality of nozzle assemblies connected in fluid communication with the internal passageway. Each nozzle assembly of the plurality of nozzle assemblies includes a body defining a fluid passage, an inlet connected to the manifold for receiving fluid flow into the fluid passage, and a spray outlet for discharging fluid from the fluid passage. Each nozzle assembly also includes an electrically actuated valve fluidly connected between the inlet and the spray outlet and configured to control fluid flow through the fluid passage. Each nozzle assembly further includes a pressure dampener connected in fluid communication with the fluid passage upstream of the electrically actuated valve. The pressure dampener is configured to dampen fluctuations in fluid pressure within the fluid passage.

    Abstract: An electrostatic sprayer includes a spray gun having a nozzle at which pressurized spray media and pressurized air are combined into an atomized mixture. A generator electrostatically charges the atomized mixture at the nozzle. The generator may also electrostatically charge the pressurized spray media, or the pressurized air, or both at the nozzle. An input device of the spray gun is actuable by a user to vary a flow of the pressurized spray media to the nozzle. A main unit is connected to the spray gun with a hose via which the pressurized spray media and the pressurized air are communicated to the spray gun. The main unit has a first power mode in which a battery powers component(s) of the electrostatic sprayer. The main unit also has a second power mode in which a power source spaced apart from the main unit powers the component(s) of the electrostatic sprayer.

    Abstract: A system for intelligent regulation of the flow rate in an irrigation plant includes a pipeline feeding an irrigation liquid, a drop pipe connected to the pipeline, and a regulation device connected to the drop pipe and associated with a liquid distribution device having a continuous regulating valve and a local electronic control unit that varies pressure and flow rate of the liquid sent to a nozzle. The continuous regulating valve includes an elastically yielding pipe connected to the drop pipe and a valve member interacting with the pipe to deform it and vary its flow area. A program installed in the electronic control unit controls the movement of the valve member and changes flow rate downstream of the drop pipe, avoiding sudden variations and water hammers. The local electronic control unit is associated with a sensor that detects abnormal operation of the regulation device, enabling preventive maintenance.

    Abstract: A drawback system is used with a liquid fertilizer distribution system to be used with agricultural implements. The drawback system may include a two-way, reversible pump that allows liquid fertilizer material to be transported from a system source or toward a system source. The drawback system allows liquid fertilizer that is not applied to an agricultural field to be cleared from piping, conduits, and/or other components of a liquid fertilizer system and drawn back into a holding chamber. The drawback system may also comprise a positive displacement pump in communication with a plurality of valves wherein manipulation of the valves can control the direction of the flow of liquid fertilizer, either from or toward a system/fluid source.
