    摘要： The invention provides a water dispensing system comprising a container having a first region adapted to store unfiltered water, a second region adapted to store filtered water, and a spout region, a meter housing adapted to receive a water meter, a reservoir disposed within the first region of the container, a filter coupled to the reservoir, the filter being adapted to filter water flowing from the reservoir into the second region of the container, a valve assembly disposed in the second region of the container, the valve assembly being adapted to dispense filtered water from the second region of the container, and a lid coupled to the reservoir. In addition, the invention provides a system for filtering and testing water, comprising a water filtering system used in combination with a water meter for testing the quality of the effluent.

    摘要： A fluid treatment system is provided, the system including a fluid treatment cartridge for treating fluid passing therethrough. The cartridge has an inlet through which untreated fluid enters the cartridge and an outlet from which treated fluid exits the cartridge. The cartridge also has a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag for storing data. The fluid treatment system also includes a connection manifold configured to detachably support the fluid treatment cartridge. The connection manifold has an inlet flow path for directing untreated fluid to the inlet of the cartridge and an outlet flow path for directing treated fluid from the outlet of the cartridge, and a data sensor for reading data stored on the RFID tag. The fluid treatment system further includes means for evaluating the data stored on the RFID tag and read by the data sensor, as well as means for deterring fluid treatment system use based upon the evaluation of the data stored on the RFID tag and read by the data sensor.

    摘要： A new and improved engine coolant filter for removing particulate matter such as scale and rust from an internal combustion engine cooling system, the engine coolant filter comprising a filter element wherethrough coolant fluid may be circulated, the filter element including a housing having an input aperture and an output aperture, the housing also having filter medium disposed between the input aperture and the output aperture wherethrough coolant fluid may flow, and a manifold installed in series with a pressurized coolant line, the manifold having an input port and an output port, the manifold being removedly connected to the filter element such that coolant fluid flowing into the input port is circulated through the filter medium then out the output port, the manifold also having an automatic clogged-filter bypass valve whereby an unacceptable pressure differential across the ports caused by clogged filter medium shunts the coolant fluid around the clogged filter medium, the manifold further having a visual indicator, whereby a user is warned of a filter medium clog.

    摘要： The filter according to the invention comprises an outer casing which is provided with an end cover having a connection to the engine lubrication circuit. The outer casing houses a first filter pack or element positioned to be passed through by the engine lubricating oil. A pressure relief valve, which allows the oil to bypass the first filter pack or element in the case of excessive pressure drop, is provided. The pressure relief valve cooperates with a piston element associated with an electrically conducting spring to establish electrical connection between an electrical contact and a part of the filter casing. A second filter pack or element is positioned to filter part of the oil which the pressure relief valve allows to pass when a high pressure drop in the oil flow through the first filter pack or element occurs.

The fluid filter can be readily adapted to many different fluid systems. In some embodiments, the fluid filter has two housing sections fastened together to enclose a filter medium. In some embodiments, the sensor includes an indicator that is easily visible outside of the housing. In some embodiments the indicator is responsive to a predetermined fluid pressure within the fluid filter.
