摘要: Disclosed herein are methods of capturing CO2 from a gas source using electrochemically-enhanced amine capture to form a concentrated CO2 vapor, followed by sequestering CO2 from the concentrated vapor in a sequestration step. The sequestration step includes contacting the concentrated vapor with an aqueous sequestration solution comprising ions capable of forming an insoluble carbonate salt, such that the aqueous sequestration solution comprises the CO2, electrochemically basifying the sequestration solution, thereby precipitating a carbonate solid, separating the carbonate solids from the aqueous sequestration solution or the surface of the mesh.

The waste-heat-generating-system can generate the waste heat when operating or is use. The water generating unit can be configured to use waste heat generated by the waste-heat-generating-system to generate the water.

摘要: The present invention describes the process of preparing ceramic materials for absorption of acidic gases, mainly carbon dioxide, in exhaust systems and/or present indoors. Ceramic materials are formed by a mixture of alkali carbonate with alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide associated with a binding component, but non-limiting. The alkali carbonate comprises sodium, potassium carbonate, or a mixture of both. The alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide may be formed from magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide as well as calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide.

摘要: A method includes choosing a well site for Carbon Capture and Sequestration, preparing the well site for Carbon Capture and Sequestration, and hydraulic fracturing a target area in a formation using fracturing fluid containing a reactant proppant to form fractures in the target formation and to trap the reactant proppant in the fractures. The target formation is in communication with a well in the well site. Such methods also include injecting a volume of carbon dioxide into the fractures in the target formation, chemically reacting the volume of carbon dioxide with the reactant proppant, converting the volume of carbon dioxide into a carbonate, and storing the carbonate in the fractures in the target formation.

摘要: A carbon dioxide fixation method, recovery method, fixation device and environmentally friendly industrial facility which can reduce material and facility costs. In aqueous solution formation, alkaline solution including: raw material including metal element which can combine with carbonate ions to form carbonate mineral; and chelating agent is formed. In separation, element is reacted with agent in solution to separate element from raw material as metal ions. In mineral formation, compound which can generate carbonate ions is added into solution to react ions generated from compound with metal ions to form carbonate mineral. In pH lowering, carbon dioxide gas is injected into solution to lower pH thereof to a value of or near pH of solution formed in the solution formation. In repetition, new raw material is added into solution to perform separation to pH lowering steps.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods of removing carbon dioxide from a gaseous stream using magnesium hydroxide and then regenerating the magnesium hydroxide. In some embodiments, the systems and methods can further comprise using the waste heat from one or more gas streams to provide some or all of the heat needed to drive the reactions. In some embodiments, magnesium chloride is primarily in the form of magnesium chloride dihydrate and is fed to a decomposition reactor to generate magnesium hydroxychloride, which is in turn fed to a second decomposition reactor to generate magnesium hydroxide.

摘要: A system and method of using the system for controlling oxidation of sulfites to reduce total nitrite and nitrate levels in a slurry is disclosed. The system includes a tank having an inlet for receiving a slurry produced in a wet flue gas desulfurization process. The tank also includes an inlet for receiving a gas. The inlet for receiving the gas is operable to disperse at least a portion of the gas received in the tank through at least a portion of the slurry received in the tank. A sensor is configured to measure a sulfite concentration of the slurry received in the tank to obtain a sulfite concentration measurement. In some embodiments, the sensor is a sulfite analyzer. In other embodiments, the sensor is a virtual analyzer. The system also includes a controller. Software executing on the controller generates an electronic signal affecting an adjustment of a flow rate of gas into the slurry in the tank based at least in part on the sulfite concentration/sulfite concentration measurement.

摘要: A method of sequestering carbon dioxide comprises reacting the carbon dioxide with aqueous magnesium ions at elevated pH to form magnesium carbonate-containing salts. The carbon dioxide is preferably reacted with alkali to form carbonate and/or bicarbonate anions at elevated pH, and the carbonate and/or bicarbonate anions are subsequently reacted with aqueous magnesium cations to form the magnesium carbonate-containing salts. A preferred alkaline material for use in elevating the pH of the aqueous solution in the present invention is Cement Kiln Dust (CKD), and a preferred source of aqueous magnesium ions is reject water from a desalination plant.
